  • Thank you for clicking on this video! Today we take a ride on Mississauga Transit Miway's brand new 2022 New Flyer Xcelsior XDE60 2289. This order (2275-2290) is the 3rd set of XDE60s ordered and the 2nd for MiLocal service and features some differences from the other 2 orders. These units have the new BAE Modular Accessory Power System (MAPS) which allows the bus to start accellerating using electricity when the engine is turned off. Miway is also the first transit company in North America to use MAPS. These units also festure a revised livery with the removal of the "My Destination My Route Miway" slogan on the top of the bus, and these units also feature a updated drivers seat for comfort. These units are powered by a Cummins 8.9L 6 cylinder L9 EPA2019 330HP engine paired with a BAE Systems HybriDrive HDS300 Series-ER transmission. These units feature 53 4ONE Aries seating and ride on MAN axles.
This video was filmed on route 1C Dundas Eastbound to Kipling Terminal starting at South Common Centre Bus Terminal and ending at Dundas Street at Cedarglen Gate. Route 1C Dundas travels East and West using mostly Dundas Street to connect passengers from Kipling Terminal to South Common Centre with making a quick stop at University of Toronto Mississauga Campus (UTM).
