    Excellent video! Your R videos are of a much higher quality than most of the R videos on TH-cam. Thanks and I look forward to seeing your future videos!

      Glad you like them! I think my secret is to zoom in so the audience can see the text better. That and I try to teach with analogies. There are tonnes of videos out there, that's for sure.

    Thank you so much! There were several other tutorial I was following, which were misleading and don't give me what I want. This actually works! Thank you! You now have a new follower :)

      Glad it works. I haven't used it in a while and was wondering if it was still valid.

    An automated email script would be great! Awesome video, as always. My favorite R instructor!

      I'm debating this. It's a little difficult for reproducible code because everyone has different credentials for how they email. Some use gmail, some use Outlook. Some companies would not allow third party apps to send emails, some will. I did look around and played with one cool R script. It was an R script that created a VBA script that would then send emails. It was a good workaround. There is a package called mailR but I didn't have much luck with that one. Let me know if you are interested in the VBA workaround though.

    I was searching for ...something (?) when I happened upon your site. If you weren't a teacher in a previous life, you should have been. You do a great job in not assuming your audience "must already know this", whatever the "this" happens to be. I look forward to following you, and want to say "thanks".

      Thanks a lot for the compliment. I'll try and post more often. That's my goal anyway.

    What if the file already exists in the folder? Is it possible to create a file naming system or delete and replace the old file automatically?

    A great tip. Quality content like this is hard to find nowadays. How about use this task capture with a script for web scraping? Do you recommend it? Or is there another tool to do that?

    • @CradleToGraveR
      @CradleToGraveR  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't tried it but I do have a tutorial on basic web scraping with R. That would be a great combination. Good idea.

      @@CradleToGraveR Yes but I've had 50-50 success. On some setups it works on others not. What I've found is that setting up a BAT file that launches your script and then scheduling that bat file to launch always works for me!

    • @MarkGingrass
      @MarkGingrass 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ljupcho do you know if it works when logged off? That's a good idea using bat file. At least for windows.
