You took the words out of my mouth with your sentiments about "Nude"..."Sublime". It's just absolutely gorgeous. I feel like the whole album from the basement is sweeter than the studio version.
-along with the Atoms For Peace EXIT concert on 2013. Though it's not Radiohead specifically, I'd argue it's probably one of Thom's best live performances in anything ever. Incredibly underrated.
A few of these songs are from Hail To The Thief including The Gloaming which for some reason unknown to most Radiohead fans Thom insists on always playing in most live shows. There is even a song from Kid A Optimistic and a great version of it I think I really hope you do the other basement session for the King Of Limbs it is almost as good as this one and has another drummer added and they do some things with them that I have never heard.
I very much like The Gloaming... particularly the live versions. Vocals and lyrics, an 'in your face' warning', straight forward (for some TY lyrics) to interpret. Delivered in equal measures of frustration and desperation. Cool use of an old English word for the title, and how relates. Colin's bass would surely have made the album cut, if they had decided to spend longer in the studio recording HTTT. Err, basically I very much like The Gloaming..particularly live😊
Bodysnatchers makes me feel like I can dropkick a speeding train off the tracks. Love the energy in that song.
This version of Nude destroys me in the best way possible ... stunning ❤
Thom absolutely nailed Nude.
It could not be more perfect. Even better than his album performance; simply sublime 😭
Nude is just a work of art. What a band ❤
That drop in "Nude" is a fkn religious experience
Yeah Thom's vox on "Nude"! Whole band killed that song!

Some of their best recordings along with the TKOL basement version

Bodynatchers is in their top 10 (5 is hard with Radiohead) songs honestly. I can't believe it doesn't get more attention
Last time I was in Canada it was Remembrance Day in 2019. Glad you’re watching this btw.
I think that years ago I said this had to be one of the best things on YT. Now, however... nah, same.

I quite like The Gloaming
Thom has said that The Gloaming is his favorite song from HTTT.
I like Sit Down Stand Up better than the Gloaming but I actually do like both songs.@user-pw2ro7gt4r
Clive Deamer from Portishead joins them on the drums for that one.

Can’t wait to see if they make a The Smile from the basement version
I bet they will at some point.
They do have a killer set on KEXP, and also a nice Tiny Desk performance that was really good as well.
@@SR91313 yeeee, both amazing
I can’t wait for you to do Reckoner!!
Can you see this video please of this great Singer And Guitar man?
