I’ve had two patients come to the ED for abdominal pain and had no idea they were in labor! One baby was emergently delivered in the ER and one was an emergency c section upstairs. It definitely happens!
I wanted to know how common is it?
Hello I’ve been having pregnancy symptoms since May, I’ve been feeling movements in my belly along with leaking breast.
I’ve been to numerous doctors and because my test are negative they don’t offer any other reasoning as to why I’m having this.
I try to ignore the symptoms but, they aren’t going away, if fact their getting stronger
I'm pregnant right now and I have had absolutely zero symptoms, no pains, no cravings, no food aversions, no baby movement, not even any physical changes and I'm 5 months. The only reason why I found out was because I had heavy bleeding that concerned me enough to go get checked out. Even my doctor finds it odd that I feel completely normal. Trust me, it happens.

@@xbxbraeannxbx5567 the problem is so many are overweight their stomach is already big. My sister knew she was pregnant, but she was plus sized. She did not look any different and actually lost weight because she stayed sick all the time with indigestion. After my nephew was born, she was 50 pounds lighter than she was before she got pregnant.
I was around 24 weeks when I found out I was pregnant with #3. I was still breastfeeding #2 and hadn't had a cycle. I knew when I felt her kicking (There was no question what that was).

I was about 8 weeks with my 1st. I'm now 18 weeks and always feel the baby kicking around. I feel horrible I didn't know for a few months but now I do! It was beautiful to see the ultrasound. It's crazy how some people don't know..

I don't see the problem. Real love is to keep each other sane and healthy. Help each other grow (not the wrong way :P). If you see your partner is not doing well or not taking care of itself, you are allowed to say something.
I hope by now he threw you in the trash. God forbid a man ever care about his wifes health. 🙄
So she was taking her birth control the entire time she was pregnant? I'm surprised that wouldn't have caused a miscarriage or some kind of birth defects.

Prego if I didn't take a test. Something just told me to take one at 3 am one night. It's like my mind knew.

In all actuality since being pregnant I could totally understand this happening. I'm currently pregnant (over due might I add) and I also had lower HCG levels, therefore I didn't experience morning sickness nor did I have increased urination (until the last couple weeks). However, two things allowed me to know I was pregnant: My husband and I were trying to conceive so I was actively testing and because my periods were regular. If a woman has conditions such as PCOS she might miss periods when she's not pregnant. In this woman's case she continued to spot. Personally, I spotted but only after my first missed period to the point that I thought I may miscarry (I had a previous miscarriage too). Last, with this being her third child her uterus has been stretched which can easily conceal a baby easier than a first time mom. And not to be rude but she was also not extremely thin to begin with. Some women can look more fat rather than pregnant dependent on how their weight is dispersed. Again, in my case I carry my weight on my lower half (thigh, buttocks etc) but my stomach isn't large (not necessarily fit but not overweight) so I didn't "pop" until late in pregnancy. I could hide my stomach if I wanted until probably about 35 weeks before I started getting the roundness. Had I been larger I may have just continued to look "fat" instead of pregnant.
I didnt know I was pregnant with my second child bc she sat towards my back in a breech position and I never felt nothing until I learned at 6 months I was having a little girl. it can happen to anyone
My mom had no idea she was pregnant and she found out at 5 months. She was bleeding never gained weight or anything. That terrifies me

I've read a book about an indonesian guy who had been living in korea for years. He said in his book that he didn't know his wife was pregnant. And like weeks before his wife gave birth to his daughter, his wife rode a rollercoaster and when the baby was born, both were perfectly fine.

This happened to a girl i worked with. No noticeable bump no symptoms...goes to the doc for a tummy ache turns out shes giving birth in a couple days. Lol
this has happened to a friend i know. Was absolutely hilarious
But it's NOT hilarious at all. It's incredibly risky and threatening to the baby not to be assessed by doctors throughout the pregnancy.

there are MANY women ALL over the world who dont have access to doctors but get pregnant and their babies are fine
this mom on this show seemed like she might only drink like a glass of wine a night kinda thing or not drink at all
that's barely anything, although it can a harm the baby, but there's no reason for an unhealthy (unless theres some disability or something) if you're not doing anything risky
i didnt know i was pregnant until i was 7 months pregnant (im a big girl so it wad hard to tell.. then i started to feel weird in my stomach and realized thought i could be pregnant. i had my periods very irregularly so i didn't worry me when i went a month without one or even 9+ in this case lol) but i ate very healthy all the time, barely drank and ive never smoked. i gave birth to a 5.3lbs baby girl only 3 weeks early. she was tiny but perfectly healthy

In 1994 I completely know a family that had an unknown pregnancy! Her husband came to our house to teach our son Karate.. He was a subordinate to my husband.. My husband called to say his wife showed up to the job in pain. 20 minutes later he called to say she had just had a 7lbs baby! We went to visit and heard the nurses talking about the surprise pregnancy! She was skinny! Maybe a 6! Believe me it can happen!

Okay forget about the shock of her not knowing she was pregnant, but I was more surprised of her reaction to free diapers like it was nothing. WOW. she said. Her husband had a better expression then she did.

She isnt going through any medical situation or in need of money she doesnt need those diapers honestly. Give them to a family who is having money problems and stuff

what about the baby's movements inside the stomach,does it mean she didn't feel any movements during those 9months
im pregnant now and the movements feel just like gas, just in the uterus area. So its possible that she just thought it was gas

I think depending on the position of the baby you won’t necessarily feel anything that would immediately suggest pregnancy
Some babies dont kick as much, but it legit feels like gas.

Omg when I was pregnant, I knew something was going on , I felt horrible!!!!
This happened to my mother with me..... kinda , I was born in February 1996 , she found out she was pregnant in January 1996 . and in January she started to go into labor , but I would have been born 3-4 months early , they gave her medication to keep me in a bit longer. so I ended up being born 3 months early.
I was on TV for this very thing. It's a blessing. With multiples I believe only because lots of movement and fetal doppler pick up many fetal heartbeats and placentas. God knows I will wait for his plan. Pray is needed cancer and much more. Love because life is a gift.
Her body was like: yeah, she's going through some stuff right now so let's not inform her that she's pregnant yet. Lol the human body is amazing. Especially the female human body!!
My mom didn't know she was pregnant with me. I was born on a hospital gurney in the ER. I turned out fine and I'm 20 now. I'm the oldest child she had. She had no symptoms of pregnancy till she went into labor. She told me when I was in high school and I said how in the hell does this happen?
Same here. My mom did not know she was pregnant with me til labor and I was a preemie born at 2 pounds. Still here in my eehhhmmm 40s. 😁

There is a show dedicated to this on TLC or is it Discovery. I can't remember which Cable Channel it is. Not sure if it still comes on. It is aptly titled. "I didn't know I was Pregnant". So I am not surprised by this story at all. More often that not it happens to women who have already given birth before so they know what feeling pregnant is like, but just as the Doctor said the body adjusts and doesn't produce the hormones that normally would let you know you are pregnant and women just think what they are feeling is something else. Some of these woman don't even show. You can't tell by looking at them that they are pregnant in some cases.

A friend of mine, early 40's at the time had a bad case of "flu." So bad(she couldn't keep anything down) her husband took to the emergency room. the doctor exams her and takes a few tests and come s back and tells them she's pregnant. She was in peri menopause with an irregular cycle, so they did an ultrasound. 7 weeks. Their sons were 17 and 16. So lol she knew how to prevent pregnancy. I think they got sloppy because they thought she could no longer get pregnant.

Mum was pregnant with me for 4 months before she realised. skipping periods was normal for her at the time because she was sick. She found out she was pregnant when she had a car accident and had to go to the doctor.

Not everyone reacts the same. My doctor though I didn't want my baby because I was not vocal about how excited I was. I don't have to jump up and down to be happy and greatful.

Everyone is commenting about how the house and is overweight and has nothing to say, but I see where he’s coming from. She was gaining weight quickly and her diet was probably the same.
I never going to believe that, the couple times I was pregnant (Unfortunately lost them) I realized very soon, even though I didn't have any symptoms, how? My period is very regular and I usually bleed a lot, the first time I got pregnant i noticed it because I bled so light that I said to myself that's no normal at all, i bought an HPT, AND IT WAS POSITIVE, second time same thing but this time I didn't bleed at all, i was late for only 2 days when I took the HPT positive right away! So or you are very distracted about your body and symptoms or you just want or prefer to ignore it.

Actually, during a normal pregnancy. Sometimes the baby lays far back towards your back, or the placenta might be in a position so that you may not feel a whole lot maybe a slight flutter here and there but no kicks. And if you aren't aware you are pregnant, you may just pass it off as gas or something.

If A women truly knows her body , she would sense something off, even if it were her 1st pregnancy - This is my opinion.
