Man just take me back! What a freaking time to be alive. I remember being a 13 year old kid and plugging the Internet into my PS2 for the first time. I mean it was a life changing experience. Absolutely breathtaking to think I could play on a PS2 with someone in California when I'm in Pennsylvania. I spent so so many hours playing socom crossroads and frostfire specifically. It was literally a mind-blowing experience that I wish kids today could experience and not take internet gaming for granted!
@@noir2601 And you get what you pay for! Had Xbox Live in 04' with R63, NOTHING could beat that experience. Xbox dominated that generation but so many people hopped on the Gaystation 2 bandwagon cause of the DVD player.

I've added a second screen giving me third person view so it's easier to tell if someone is on my inside before, for example, double apexing so there isn't someone needlessly ran off the track. If you have ties with some more clean drivers, when does everyone race and who typically hosts? ⏭ There was no way to play Omega Strain using Xlink Kai, was there? At least on PS2 release, I don't recall there being LAN multiplayer. The only way to finish the game 100% was to have online multiplayer. I'm glad it's back online but appears there is no one yet aware or interested just yet. Is it required to have all the team's four character players during online multiplayer in order to finish the game 100%?
online play is still functional on many games. Any game with LAN function can be played through xlink, and some games have private servers open. You can play using real PS2 hardware or play using PS2 emulation on PC. Both works really well.
Playstation Underground. Good god I'm old. Sony could have done so much more with PS2 online and they totally fumbled with the HDD. Still beats the hell out of individual memory cards.

The good’ol days. My first online game I played was Syphon Filter Omega Strain and then Resident Evil Outbreak.
And syphon filter can be played with Xlink Kai I think.
