I kinda like those buildings. I like the front door of this place. The one I plan for my main window will be a 8 foot by 8 foot all glass door with side lights and a transom. The windows in my house are going to be glass doors instead of windows, I just have to have them custom make the frame because it has to have a solid threshold much like all commercial ground floor windows would. I want the door because it would be considered a egress point and it will allow for a much larger window and takes up less wall space.
"Contemporary" home design is so tiresome at this point, unfortunately trying to maximize every last cent from projects has caused builders and architects to flush craftsmanship and aesthetics down the drain, and these cookie-cutter homes are the sewer
2:22 that calking is ugly. Who did that? Just because the boss isn't looking, doesn't mean you can let up. There may not be an actual standard for that but you should still care more than that. Don't want to touch it? Get gloves. Care about your work and your product and you'll get more work. GASP!

I super like the lights in the soffits. We are doing a single story and going to do something like this yet far more lights and a much larger overhang. We are going with 4 foot overhang and lights every 2 feet or every 4 feet.
pretty sure that gigantic window alone tacked on $100k to the asking price. Imagine paying that much for a house where the whole neighborhood can watch you hanging out in your living room like a reality TV show lmao
Honestly that's not really that bad. The broken slider is the worst part. The lawn is pretty easy to fix. So is that gap. Those scratches I doubt they will care about.
Yeah man so much more cultured to live like a rat king trapped with your neighbors in a hovel for the same price instead of being able to enjoy your home 😂
@ what are you smoking bro? I like living in the middle of nowhere because I don’t have to deal with noise from busy roads, I can do whatever I want, and I don’t have to stick to city rules or anything. Meanwhile if I live in a neighborhood I have to deal with code and possible hoa. Plus I can’t shoot guns or have huge parties.
I see stuff now on buildings and say under my breath “That ain’t right”.
Shake your head too? Cause i do lol. That aint right!
I think a lot of us do it!!
Lol, it stays in your head 😂

I'm about to take my home inspector state exam in a few weeks. Thanks for the inspiration and wish me luck!
State test? Yo got it that. Congrats 👏
I wanna be like you when I grow up
I hear your voice when I look at houses. "That ain't right." 😂 Million dollar home, cheap contractor? 😂
That building looks like it should have a Chipotle and a Verizon store in it. It doesn't even look like a house.

I love these videos. I wish everyone were as thorough as you are. Builders are willing to cut corners to maximize profits. You keep them honest.
I know next to nothing about houses and some of these things are so bad that I could spot them. That ain’t right!
You should do a million dollar home inspection in CA or FL! 😂
Can you please put a type of body camera on and take us through a complete walk thru
I second that!
I see things on my house that passed inspection that I’m saying, “That ain’t right.” 😂
🎉 Thanks for the video 📸...... JJ...😊
Imagine spending a million dollars on a boring drywall box. No real millwork, just lame. This house sux

Oh god those light fixtures just why
They ain't right my friend. They ain't right
You need your own TV show! So much great information with your great personality 😂

I must say that as a builder that just started to watch this inspector, he's on it, and it's good that he points out good and "that ain't right"😂
my guy should be in a movie for real.

That phrase has been in common usage for decades. It can't be copyrighted, or trademarked.
No matter how expensive the build is, builders are always more concerned with sales than with quality.
All that money and the contractor still didn't do right.

My father was a contractor but ive never done this work but i can still tell when work is shoddy or just unfinished. The devil is in the details.🤔 😉
My 1940s, 160k house looks nicer and I'm not that close to my neighbors.
Professional U pro right
That'd be a five or ten million dollar home here. Sigh.
I didn't know u did long videos too.
Yep, going to push out more longer videos. Stay tuned 😊
@@gold.star.inspections I definitely will 👊🏾👍🏾

If I am paying a million plus for that house it better be perfect

I would prefer a big house in the middle of nowhere over a big house in city limits
@nonefots are you sure that's not just what you've been taught to want?
Regardless, that house is in the suburbs. The worst of both worlds.

But you can’t shoot video in landscape…
Plz no more portrait videos. It's not 1999 :). That ain't right! 😂😅
Video always needs to be landscape. Pet peeeeeéve of mine. Lol
Portrait is the optimal size for viewing vertically on cell phones, landscape is best for the horizontal view of computer monitors.
