Absolutely stunning time capsule Jay! They were massive cars, probably tough now finding a parking spot big enough to accommodate this beast. As you always say, this one would be as “quiet as a mouse in slippers” with the windows rolled up.
Had same car and color. Had 351 w motor and i drove it accross country loaded w everything i owned . Very reliable but ended up selling bc the body rotted but motot and tranny were perfect
Thanks for not monetizing your vids. So many car sellers monetize and that's pretty crappy for a sales vid. P.s. my 2007 crown vic lx has factory painted pinstripes so they kept that up for a while
That is a beautiful automobile WOW, We had 3 OF them a 74 a 76 and a 78 you could pick them up in the 80s for around 1200 bucks in good condition ,people just wanted them gone ,price of gas probably. Northern Ontario roads Finally took their toll on them, but we still got over 200,000 MILES per car .Im just glad I got to drive real luxury cars,Now we have a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer that came up from California ,its mint, no rust ,for now that is ,but give it a few winters LOL
Hilarious that the car is so long, it barely clears the wall while centered on the turntable. She's a stunner. Not my favorite choice of color, but the absolute pristine condition makes up for it.
Weii they dont get Any better than this one holy Moses it is a treasure love it 😎 cool car color stunning inside absolut gourgeus 😎cool car thanks Jay grams for these wonderfull cars always from the batcave 🦇
IF you enjoy buying gasoline (often) , good riding quality, dependability, and BAD handling, AN AWESOME CAR! I owned one, I KNOW this! By the same token, given a choice of ANY vehicle sold today, I WOULD STAND IN LINE TO BUY THIS!
I really liked these better then their LTD brother my Dad was a Ford Man but he was A Mercury man too until my Dad & Mom bought a new 62 Monterey and it was a total LEMON my dad got completely turned off from the Mercury brand for good
You say that the seats are this and that, but you didn't show them. As this is a video show you could have actually shown those seats. I still don't know, what the seats are like. You keep doing that regularly. Most frustrating, for in a luxury car the seats are decisive.
Man is thought the car was going to hit the wall when you started spinning it. That thing is long. I don’t think new home car garages are big enough to hold these, you almost need a barn.

A neighbor had a 78 Lincoln and this looks similar in size and styling. Massive car.
I owned a '78 Mercury Marquis, a '77 Lincoln Town Car, and a '77 Ford Country Squire station wagon, SAME FRIKKIN' CAR!
Absolutely gorgeous and baroque. I would dream of having one one day...
Much BETTER than new "rides"!
A truly luxurious car in great shape!
I can't believe they are still existing in such amazing shape...
3 years later and I'm watching for the first time. Wow! I've been driving mint Grand Marquis for 28 years. Nothing else. Had'm all but this car? Wow!!
We do have quite the back catalog of videos. You could get lost for awhile.

1 of a kind.. 78 mgm 460/4 barrel. only 780 were made.. last of the giant land cruisers...
The "Mona Lisa" of cars 🚗
I’d buy this over a 2020 Continental.
...total showroom!!! awesome!!!

They were GREAT dependable AMERICAN rides! I wish I could say as much for new "american rides"!

Charge by the foot..good one jay
We almost whacked the wall, had to re-adjust the car on the table to get it to clear.
Or by the pound, either way I would win!
Maravilhoso; Magnífico; Majestoso: Mercury !!!
I hate that they ever had to change. I'm about as old school as I can get!
Nice 🙂 old folks car
My grandfather Rudy had 1 just like it
Kool Kar

Two words: Uncle Buck!
Still have?

Another 1/2 inch longer it probably wouldn't go on your turntable.

The sublimated shape of American cars.
The people dead? Nah don't want it
