When I saw that Piledriver, I felt it was too safe. But the response by Cole and the subsequent ambulance sold the idea, especially to new fans that don't know the move that this is a terrifying move.
Yeah trying to do a pile-driver as safe as possible will always make it look wonky I think that's why it was really banned. Because doing it IS risky and trying to do it safe makes it looks just bad. But I agree Cole selling made this whole situation
100% agree but I guess that’s us fans being a bit analytical. Storyline wise it was absolutely great and he did it respectfully safe. Michael Cole is goated
I hope this leads to Owens using the package piledriver again. Not only does it look cool, but it's actually one of the safest variations of the move, **and** it puts over just how violent he is.
They're also crossing over more. The Bloodline story + Crown Jewel has led to a lot more interaction between Raw and Smackdown and honestly I love seeing it
An actual dropping Piledrive was red listed a while ago. Only very trusted people could do any versions of it. Taker was allowed because it was taker lol plus he started holding people even higher just to be sure. Even though this was very protected it's cool to see it get back it's place as a move that murders you lol
I understand that there's a lot of blowback on that pile driver, but the fact that it was even allowed to be done is the correct step and getting a packaged pile driver. i understand it was very safe but we need to take baby steps.
Plus when you've got someone like Randy on the receiving end, you don't exactly wanna be going into business for yourself, just for the sake of making a move look good.
They aren't bringing it back fully. THey will use it for special situations and only by people who can do it safely. They are never going back to the days where anyone was allowed to do it.
Whos "they"? The piledriver with the exception of Taker & Kane's tombstone, has been banned since the late 90s/early 2000s. There's a difference between protecting a move, and protecting a person. WWE did both, AEW can't do either.
@@LennyHenrysDorsalCavity I believe that's because the people who are taking the flip piledriver are the ones who are actually performing the move themselves.
I absolutely hate the piledriver. There’s a damn good reason it’s banned. It’s dangerous, it’s unsafe, it’s ended careers, and if the move is not done carefully, the wrestler on the receiving end could suffer a broken neck or get killed. Kevin Owens needs to be fired and blacklisted from WWE.
Whether it was done carefully or not, it shouldn’t have even happened. I get that it was done safely on this occasion, but no one in any professional wrestling company should ever attempt a piledriver again. It’s risky, it’s dangerous and it’s unsafe.
@@matthewpeters4261 dude if you can’t hear me like then go watch fucking UFC or some shit we don’t need you to complain in our comment section if you don’t like to move or professional wrestling then get lost because you’re not a fucking fan you’re a pussy
@@matthewpeters4261 dude, stop being a mark for a minute and actually pay attention. Piledrivers can be executed safely these days because wrestlers are better trained. Hell, Owens used a variation as a finish for years before coming to WWE.
@matthewpeters4261 By your logic get rid of the Canadian destroyers, 619, superkicks, pedigree, anything from the top rope, any type of suplexs, literally all of these moves here have put people either career ending or bad injuries or worse

I know people say that is was a bad Piledriver but it was how Cole sold it that made it so emotional.

That's why the tombstone was the alternative, but ONLY for the undertaker as he's done it many many times, and as safe as possible
I agree.

No matter how good or sloppy KO delivered the piledriver storyline wise it makes so much sense.
11:49 good reaction missing the spot lmao
The trust randy orton has in kevin owens to do that piledriver one wrong move or slip and randys career done 😮

I love how WWE is becoming balanced RAW, SMACKDOWN, NXT are all becoming very good at the same time 🔥

Teshk out here paying no attention 😂
@@AquaLeaderJesse yeah he got caught out a bit. Was trying to upload a clip from what just happened with DIY and then they dropped this lol
And then pretending he saw the whole thing😂
cant wait to see womens US title reactions
Already up my friend 😀
@TheGeekBox I know. I watched it some time after lol
The TNA that he used the Piledriver by Eric Young to his Moved!
Since when was it banned?? Viking raiders and undertaker have been using them tho

Why you guys getting upset over a pile driver is a freaking pile driver man grow up
@WrestlingGod-f4v no one's getting upset here though, quite the opposite, it's a sign of admiration.

Bruuuuhh. It’s wrestling. 😂😂. Just enjoy it.
Randy will come back and punt KOs head off lol
I really think he wasn't try to do the pile driver
I'm not sure just cause of how it was sold by commentary. Think so much was put into it being safe that he kind of lopsided the landing a bit lol
😱😱😱😱😱
They literally do flip piledrivers lmao I still don't get why they react like that.

@@LennyHenrysDorsalCavityBad Bunny and Chelsea Green did Canadian Destroyers before.
@ ironically, the Canadian Destroyer is safer than an actual piledriver. I can’t remember anyone of notable name who’s suffered an injury taking one.

It was literally the safest piledriver ever.
I agree
So?
go cry me a river guys. the worst piledriver to you guys is literally the safest one. this isn’t aew
I mean, Kevin is kinda right. All of his friends (Sami and Cody) joined Roman, and his tag partner is defending their decision (Randy)
When your piledriver is safer then when kane gave one to Linda McMahon, it will look like crap and the impact of it will dampen
This looked fnine and was nowhere near as bad as Linda's. The impact did not dampen here. You clowns are the worst.

If you watch, it was done very carefully. Kevin’s legs kept Randy’s head a solid two to three inches off the mat, at least
