    Wow! It's amazing how much the colours that you pick are all the colours that I would pick. Rich, warm, saturated jewel tones. Your pomegranate cardigan is going to be gorgeous!

      Aw thank you so much! I think I've finally started to figure out what colors I like and suit me :) And this is great news since I'm finally almost done knitting through my yarn stash of colors that are not my fave 😂 Happy knitting!

    I love listening to how you modify the patterns to accommodate your gauge, body and personal preferences. Kudos!! The pattern to me is just one way making a particular garment. The knitter ultimately is in charge with their skills and you are showing those beautifully. 😊❤

      Aw thank you so much! There's definitely been lots of trial and error, but I love learning different techniques and constructions from different patterns and then adapting it as needed - It's part of what makes knitting so fun! Thanks for watching this episode and happy knitting! 😊❤️

    haha, once again we are twinning ! mentionned how you inspired me in my last episode, with your blouse no 1 ! And also have cast on a maggie cardigan in a fun colour ! Lovely to see your pattern choices, it makes it easier for me to prioritise my queue lol ! And for the yarn you are "desperately trying to use from stash" i say destash it/sell it on ravelry, instead of feeling like an obligation and time commitment !

      hahah SAME! Whenever I see an update on your Ravelry I'm like.....👀I loooove your maggie cardigan color choice and so excited to see it come to life!! And I think you might be right there regarding that yarn - I keep looking at the swatch and it's not sparking joy!

    Your detailed explanation of Barbroe Top details is very appreciated. I want to knit it as well and saw many people having issues meeting gauge and with the fit overall. Your end result looks beautiful as well as other garments as well!

      Thank you so much! It really is such a beautiful design and pattern, but yes hopefully after meeting gauge it won't be too much trouble!

    you always choose perfect patterns and yarn pairings for your garments. Love hearing and seeing the garment fixes. I am too lazy to go back and reknit but it is so satisfying to fix what isn't right and should be rewarded with new yarn!!!

      Aw thank you! 😊 I definitely have to hype myself up before fixing projects haha, the to-fix queue definitely doesn't get as much as my to-knit queue 😂

    Hello! I’m more of a silent viewer but I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your podcast. Always looking forward to see your videos because we have similar tastes in styles and I appreciate your philosophy when it comes to knitting. You inspired me to pick up the Sandnes Garn catalog 2202 when I saw your Gia Zipper Genser and also I’m so tempted to pick up the Noro Silk Garden Solo you held together with the pink Isager mohair (I believe it was for your. Champagne Cardigan) because that combo is beautiful 😍 Stay well and happy knitting!

    😂 I remember the gazillion ends to weave in on the Barbroe top - overall it was a lot of fidgety work on this top. 🙊😂 I made a looser fitting one and I haven’t worn it that much, probably cos I was traumatised after making it - I found it a very tedious knit. 😅

    • @tangerineknits
      @tangerineknits  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So. many. ends!! Hahaha I get what you mean, sometimes the knitting process was so stressful, the project needs to go in time out

    Would you mind sharing the excel sheet you used for calculating your gauge

    • @tangerineknits
      @tangerineknits  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! I can explain the sheet if that's helpful (so I don't accidentally reshare petite knit's pattern details!)
      I listed out each section, e.g. "back" , and I calculated the following information:
      1) # of Rows the pattern tells you to knit (e.g. 20 - making up a number here as an example!)
      2) What length this number of rows equals to - which is # of rows divided by row gauge * 10 cm. As an example: the pattern gauge is 32 rows per 10 cm, so in this example: the length would be 20 rows / 32 rows * 10 cm = 6.25 cm
      3) # of rows you need to knit to reach 6.25 cm, based on your row gauge. As an example, if my row gauge was 35 rows per 10 cm, then this calculation would be:
      6.25 cm * 35 rows / 10 cm = approx 21.9 rows, which I can round up to 22
      This means I would need to knit 2 extra rows compared to what the pattern says!
