tbh I don't think it's SM that is overworking Lay, it's Lay who is overworking Lay. He said it himself, he does not like having days off and if he has one he calls up a teacher to teach him dancing/singing/acting/composing etc. He only had that one rest day when he collapsed at the airport because SM made him although it didn't really work since he attended the concert that day anyways. I'm not saying SM isn't to blame though, they should make it a requirement to have days off after so many work days to ensure their artists aren't overdoing it. The mini vacation that EXO is currently having is a blessing.
i miss EXO on awards show so much ㅠㅠㅠㅠ monster is a legendary song i still remember all the award shows where they performed it. i'll be waiting for the day they will perform as a complete group. much love

I think Lay's condition isn't good? But he said several times that he's getting old and tend to forget steps. No worries. This is the 1st time he forgot the moves. And I don't blame him because I think they didn't rehearsal for this event. During Monster they deadass singing live. Why some people saying they aren't? This is live, people. You can hear JD and BBH's breathing through mic. All of them are singing live.
I think it was pre-recorded bc they didn't rehearse. If you compare it to their Music Core one, you can tell. I don't even know why people care if it was or not, everybody knows they can perform and sing live at the same time lmao. And damn near every idol group uses pre-recorded things sometimes like pls.
I think Yixing also mentioned that these days he doesn't catch steps during practices as quickly or he forgets steps cause of lack of sleep :( There was once he said he had a day off and recuperated, the next day when he learnt new steps it was much easier and his brain could pick up the moves and memorise them faster. I guess it all boils down to his tiring schedule and intrinsic need to work harder (like staying up to compose songs even when he has time, and ending up not sleeping enough) sigh

His happened to be more noticeable because they were at key parts of the choreo. If you'd pay attention, you'd realize he was slaying every other part of the dance, better than the other members (obviously, as he's the main). His moves are as nuanced as ever. His Lotto performance right before this was amazing. Chill. Out.
yixing made mistakes but his dance move is undeniable the gretest of all. i love his moves at the very end. and how he was doing handstand at the floor dance part kills me. rip me.
Looking back at this performance Lay seemed so drunk and out of place in monster performance but he slayed lotto I hope he is getting enough rest in China 🤍.
