Hi Tee! Cute Top!! I really like labels. I get mine on Etsy! Some are personalized some are generic! If I don't have a label, I sew a piece of ribbon to the back!
Hi, Theresa. Thank you so much. I am really considering getting some labels. Etsy is a great suggestion, and I also like the idea of sewing ribbon onto the back. Got me thinking.... lol. Thank you.
Theresa! I never thought about sewing a piece of ribbon 🎀 on the back if I'm out of labels 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️! Glad you made that suggestion! I'll be doing that from here on out...
I am so glad that you mentioned putting a button in the back because I was wondering how you tell the front from the back. The labels are also a great idea. I have so many garments that I've made and didn't do anything to indicate the back. Can't tell you how many times I've put garments on backwards because I couldn't tell the front from the back...even with pants. 🤣
Omg. I understand. That was happening to me too. I would hold up garments and be so confused. Lol. The button in the back has really helped figure things out, and I have a lot of buttons that I haven’t used for anything else. The labels just look so nice and professional. :)
Your dress is adorable! Yes, I think you should definitely try some labels. It absolutely makes a difference. I prefer woven labels vs printed only because sometimes the printed labels will smudge when ironing over them. Also, that was a really interesting fact about the Olympians. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. I am learning so much about labels. Had absolutely no idea that printed labels sometimes will smudge when ironing. That is soooo interesting and something I never would’ve considered. Thank you so much. Labels always look so nice in clothes. They seem to take the item to the next level, and I really like that about the look of labels. I thought the fact about Olympians was very interesting too!!! Thanks again, Georgette.
Beautiful dress. I like your shoes too. The button in the back of the garment, that is interesting; I usually use ribbon or lable. I don't like my lable. I ordered from amazon, so most of the time, I do ribbon. Thank you for sharing.
Hi. Mimi. You’re the second person that has mentioned using ribbon in the back. Very interesting. Thank you so much for sharing and also for the compliments.
Great video! I was laughing at your family and styling rules because my family does the same lol. I think it's very interesting about the Olympians! I do love a label and have always ordered them from Dutch Label Shop or printed them myself, however, after reading Theresa's comment, a piece of ribbon could work in the meantime. 😃
Hey, Tee. Omg. It’s funny that our families are similar in their styling rules, 😂😂 and I thought it was interesting about the Olympians too. That’s great for them. I’ve never heard of Dutch labels. I will have to look them up, so thank you. Yes. I have had a few people mention that they use ribbon in the back of their garments. I never thought of doing that before, so that’s cool to know and will be nice to try. Thanks again, Tee.
Hi, Polly. Your comment sent me right over to the Style Maker site. I had never been there before, and they have a ton of goodies, and yes, labels included. Thank you so much for sharing and introducing me to a new site.
Very nice dress! Being from Cleveland you would get roasted for days if you were caught “perpetrating” with mixed sneaker brands. That is STILL an absolutely no-no 🤣. Also, the white after Labor Day is still a rule for many but I swear the ENTIRE cast of CSI:Miami wore white every single episode and acknowledged each season, so there’s that 🤣🤣. I use a very small piece of scrap fabric as a label for most of my items. It’s just big enough for me to see it at first glance.
Oh my goodness. My family member that doesn’t like to mix shoe brands together is from the Midwest too, so maybe it’s something to that. Lol. So funny. It seems easier to wear white after Labor Day in places where it’s hot and sunny and there’s no snow on the ground. Didn’t know that about the CSI Miami cast. That’s pretty interesting. I have used a small piece of scrap fabric in then back of garments too before. That is another option that I totally forgot about. Thanks for sharing. This was fun to read.
I have heard many good things about Dutch Labels I made a skirt for my granddaughter and great niece and I got the "generic " labels from Joann's that said "made with love ❤️".....I hope it didn't scratch my babies 🤦🏾♀️
I know, right, about scratching the babies. Awww. I hope they weren’t scratched either. I totally forgot that labels can have that tendency. You’re the second one that mentioned Dutch Labels. Will definitely have to check them out. Thank you.

You look so amazing in everything that you make!
Aww. That is so very kind of you to say. Thank you so much!! I’m smiling.

Cute dress. I bought some really cute labels from Style Maker.

Nice make🙂
If it’s a bold top stitch I do understand.
Socks with sandals 😣 LoL
Lol. Thank you so much. :)
Get labels, great way to tell front from the back. Etsy has a lot to choose from.
Thank you, Ce Ce.

I still can't wear white after Labor Day 🤦🏾♀️.....unless, unless...... I'm in Florida or California 🤷🏾♀️
Lol. I get it. When I lived in a colder climate it just felt different wearing white after Labor Day.
