    I've watched so many of your videos trying to learn how to help my son get faster with proper setup. However, I have yet to see a video for Cadet Karts. And this is the first video I've seen for a Parolin.
    I was a member of your TH-cam for about a year but I did not renew as there was no Cadet kart content.
    Though the Lambda sensor video was so helpful a d gave my son a big advantage at our track. Now that my son is always a podium contender, other dad's have installed the Lambda and are trying to learn how to understand it. So thanks for that Lambda video.

    in our KR days we used a 12 point socket for adjusting the camber, made it easy. Great vid Des!

    Love your videos too. I have learned a lot, and I mean lot. I have watched basically all of your videos and i know more about karts now than most of the people at my track.

      Hi just wanted some advice on using the snipers at the weekend I was at the track setting the toe with the kart on the trolley the snipers used was the same as your using it showed the kart had negative one side positive the other at 1st I thought kart was twisted we then put the kart on some tarmac and showed it was fine any advice please ?

    • @PurryKitchenWithTaste
      @PurryKitchenWithTaste 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@forcedinduction2918It is fine since when the kart is at the tarmac, it lies much more flat in comparison to when it is on the trolley. To check, put the kart on a very flat surface and then check it again.

    It’s time for me to work on my Parolin’s set up. Been lazy. Running the same set up even when the tyres are starting to wear out. TQ!

    When adjusting Castor on the Parolin, I find simply using the reference dot on the castor assembly easier than fiddling around verniers' etc.

    The front end settings you show - are these done on the stand only or are they what should be with the driver in the kart on the ground.

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      these were done on the stand. the kart will bump when on ground and driver is in. but the settings are relative.

    On a low grip track with new tires what would you recommend running the Parolin Mini on with Levanto tires?

    Im building an electric kz kart(250km/h) and designing a whole new frame myself in cad. Just wondering, roughly what are the dimensions of the pipe(diameter x thickness)?

    What do you do if your steering geometry is 5mm-10mm or so out? Kart hasn’t had any accidents so I don’t think anything’s bent.

      adjust your toe on the tie rods until its even, or is the caster angle different across the kart ?

    Hello Sir. I just bought karting for my almost 6 yrs old son. One thing i dont understand is,when i turn a steering wheel in right side for example,inner wheel is" opening "more then another one. Also is happening in opposite way. Im notice,this is happening only when karting is staying on one place. Im new in these world,so ur opinion and advices means a lot to me to make my son happier in his desire to be racing driver. Thank u in advance.

      go karts have uneven turning radius's, this is called an ackermann steering geometry, for karts, this means the inside wheel turns more than the outside wheel, this is because the inside wheel needs to travel a tighter radius compared to the outside wheel.
      Karts also have a secondary function in their steering: you'll notice the inside wheel will dig into the ground when the steering is turned, this is so the kart can lift the rear inside wheel off the ground (called jacking) to take the corner.
      When you take a corner, your outside wheel needs to travel a greater distance than the inside wheel, so on a go kart with a solid axle (pretty much all karts) the inside tire would slide and scrub while the outside tire takes the corner. This is slow, and so is fixed by jacking the rear inside wheel in the air, so now the outside rear wheel can take the corner, and the inside rear can free spin in the air and not cause any scrubbing.

    are you finding the camber movements too coarse? it seemed that one hole made a huge movement. Sort of surprised the second locking bolt hole isnt a "half hole"

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      nah they seem pretty good. you could drill and tap another hole if you need finer adjustment . have you got a parolin?

    I just found the best trick for the Parolin and the kr: when u want the new version chassis of the kr or parolin from 2022 but u don’t have the money for the chassis then just buy the new sticker kit from 2022 and then you can’t see a difference😂
