Could you explain how you adjusted the feed tables? Maybe a video showing that with the results.

Nice review! Let's see it in action! Can you do a comparison between the indication vs measured height of the material after it has been run through?

Great Canadian Review. Just got mine from Home Depot. I researched for months before picking this one. Make more videos. Lets see your projects and so on eh!

Yes!!!! Congratulations on your new planer! that's AWESOME! I can make a video on how to adjust the tables to level soon, and i have two videos in the works coming out. Everything is slow going right now with life/job/trying to find a house. But I'll have a new bed and coffee table coming out in the next few weeks! Cheers friend

I wish I knew about that Lowes deal. I am looking at getting a planer myself with this unit being on my list. Was there any need to adjust the outfeed tables? I've heard that sometimes adjustments are necessary out of the box. How is snipe with this unit? You mention at the end of your video that you've ran some wood though it so I am curious to know your results with soft and hardwood if possible.
Finally, what made you choose this model vs. other lunchbox planers on the market (e.g., Ridgid)?
I had my eye on the DW735X but the price is waaay up there and I am not a professional woodworker just a beginner hobbyist.

Yes! The in and out feed tables do need some adjustment that is for sure. Once you do that the snipe is almost non existent. It does take a bit of patience tho. It eats through soft wood. You can take a 16th off at a time if you wanted with a 12 foot wide board no problem. But with hardwoods I usually limit it to 1/64th at a time otherwise the planer head can bog down giving you a less smooth finish. As for why I just read reviews. The DeWalt is basically the same price as a rigid. And I've felt rigid stuff to be of lower build quality in the past. So once I saw I could pick one up for 430 plus tax it was a pretty easy choice. Cheers hope this helps.
