Monna Lisa ("Madam Lisa") was painted by da Vinci as he was hired by someone to paint a portrait of his wife, wasn't meant to be a masterpiece, but can be considered a standard line of da Vinci's artistic discipline. It only became famous because of its theft from Louvre. So that "unpopular opinion" was actually a statement of factual history.
Ok so...my opinion was the same as Charlotte with the Mona Lisa thing because like she said ¨its small, she is not even smiling, underwhelming etc¨ so I stumbled upon a video that explained why is the Mona Lisa such a big deal and I decided to do everyone a favor whether you've seen the ML in person or wherever else, and also because I think culture is important 1. it is considered a portrait painting so ahead of its time for centuries later people are still trying to figure out. 2. da Vinci painted it with led paint and so on and he worked with glazes with the paint so basically used a certain (new) technique painting with glazes of paint mixed with oil etc so the colors changed with every coat of glaze, so that was new and beautiful (at least for him) and added a certain level of difficulty to master the colors by the coat which made The Mona Lisa glow differently with the glazes. 3. Added really small almost tiny brush strokes slowly over years in order for the ML to look more life like. 4. Back then it was almost unheard of to hire one the most in demand painter to paint a portrait of you and NOT wear your jewelry your best dress best hair, to look your best basically and, to show them off they usually wanted their portraits to be in full frame, The Mona Lisa however is using nothing special for a wealthy woman and is sitting down instead of the usual flamboyant outfits people usually wore specially on the aristocracy. 5. Leonardo used the pyramid composition which was a new painting composition on the Renassance era he dicided this so he could use the pyramid composition to focus on one thing and one thing only, her face. 6. Her posture. Back then the postured people decided to pose were very stiff most of the time, and Mona Lisa's is not, there is a strange ease she is giving with just her posture, her hands are resting gently on the arms of the chair and seems relaxed as she turns towards us ¨almost as is if it is a snap shot¨. 7. On the painting, Mona Lisa seems rather content on the portrait which was not a regular thing on aristocratic women, but it was on men looking directly into our eyes. 8. The background of portraits use to be simple. On the ML the background is complicated, a landscape that only existed in Leonardo´s imagination. And invented with it a technique called ¨Aerial Perspective¨ 9. Both the Mona Lisa and the background seemed to fuse together, a thing Leonardo loved. ¨Connection between her and nature¨ 10. The technique ¨Chiaroscuro¨ which he invented was used on this, specially on the shadows he painted around her eyes. ¨chiaroscuro¨ is Italian for clear and obscure in English. 11. Usually in portraits there were almost never a vey ¨relaxed nor happy¨ they were very serious and that is because of how long it took to have a smile for hours or days (I assume) 12. Ultimately, because of her eyes, even though Mona Lisa is not fully smiling and rather is giving a sort of grin if you focus on her eyes solely you can see how much she is smiling inside and if you scan back and forward between her eyes and lips creates an illusion of her expression changing. SO THERE!!!! if you do go to the Louvre or whenever you see it somewhere at least we can all understand it and therefore appreciate it more, I mean it is not The most famous piece of art in the whole world just because. I feel so cultured I feel British and fancy LOL th-cam.com/video/T9JvUDrrXmY/w-d-xo.html
I've been thinking How I Met Your Mother is better than Friends for years but never told anyone. So glad this guy shares my unpopular opinion. Anyone else agree?
I flip flop on both of them. Friends being one dimensional is something I need to be in the mood for. Rewatching HIMYM, I lost track of Barney's lies/schemes and it took me out of the episode. But both good shows in their own right.
Wine & Cheese Pairing astringents with fats is found in gastronomies all over the planet, Fat is oily, eating it lubricates the mouth, making it feel slick. Meanwhile, astringents, chemical compounds such as the tannins in wine and green tea, make the mouth feel dry and rough. They do this by chemically binding with proteins present in saliva, causing the proteins to clump together and solidify, and leaving the surface of the tongue and gums without their usual coating of lubrication. Hence why Wine and Fat complement each other.
They actually bring up a genuinely valid point about sauces which is.....we really don't know what we're eating! Its actually quite scary when you think about it!!lol

My biggest problem with people singing Happy Birthday is everyone just loudly sing-shouts the song’s cadence but no one’s in tune. Just pick a damn key and sing in it lol
Also when I'm at a restaurant to celebrate in trying to hang out with people and I don't care for letting everyone around me know I'm a year closer to death by loudly singing about it and then disrupting their dinner. Yes i agree with how i met your mother is better than friends statement because many people who are looking for pure comedy will think friends is better but i just think himym is so much more than that, its not just comedy there are different aspects to every episode whereas (and no hate to friends) all friends episode kinda all have the same pattern (except few) all have comedy and the episode ends, what friends lacked was a plot for every episode which it did not have which is why i think himym is better

@@movieace1295 Scrubs is unique and the best
@@Александра-й1ф4в gosh YES! Scrubs is timeless, I enjoyed it as a teen as well as years later as an adult. Funny topics, silly topics, deep topics, sad topics. Unbeatable
@@IncrediBelleJessi ikr it's when you've watched just one ep and you cried, you laughed, you understood something and learnt new things. wonderful cast, wonderful director, wonderful everything. in some way himym is similiar to scrubs for me. but i adore scrubs much better. there're a lot of topics that were told in those two shows. friends is just funny, i see why people like it, but it never was deep. sorry for my language, it's not my mother tongue, i'm still learning
Well, I haven't seen all the sitcoms, (although I have seen and enjoyed the two under discussion), but I would like to mention Community. It was always coming up with great concepts and creativity no other live action show could probably match. You know how shows have special Christmas and Halloween episodes? Well, even though Community had those as well, it sometimes felt like the whole season was made of special episodes. And great ones! That's the best way I can describe it.
Everyone playing hide n seek today... hiding in their own homes and seeking an end to this madness! Watching the news on youtube (I don't even know how!) brought me here ... I'm binge watching 'Unpopular Opinion' now. Loved Ricky Gervais
Paul Rudd has a really huge head, I still love him tho 😆
I don't understand why someone would put something so horrible as wine with cheese. Wine causes car accident and death plus emites a putrid smell. Cheese never hurt anyone.
Also. EVERYTHING is better than Friends. It's the jock equivalent of The Big Bang Theory.
Mustard is absolutely disgusting. That part isn't an unpopular opinion. But how do you not like ketchup? Bbq sauce? Sriracha? A1?
