It’s the silenced gunshot that hits me so hard. It’s not like a super loud dramatic gunshot where we cut away then cut back to a zoom in on the character’s body falling to the ground. It’s just a quick quiet shot to end the life of this woman, and we’re done. Shows exactly how much human life means to Jack and his crew.
Todd's line to her is so fucking cold, too. Andrea is worried and completely dropped her guard to a stranger because she thought she'd finally get some comfort and closure from the anxiety she's been feeling over Jesse, just to hear "I want you to know this isn't personal" and then just boom, darkness, before she could even process it and flinch at the words or defend herself. One of the most well done and truly brilliantly awful character deaths in any media.

First 8 episodes were fine. Episode 9 comes along and things start to get intense and then ozymandias comes along and honestly i don’t know how i didn’t stop after watching that. Luckily this episode was a lot slower paced

Originally Jessie was supposed to be a throw away character. They thought they'd be done with him by the end of season 1 or 2. After seeing his character come to life on the screen they decided to keep him because of the potential the character had to impact the story.
The worst part is they didn't even need to do this. They could've just drove up to the house with Jesse to show him they knew where she lived, and he probably would've cooperated. They just killed her to break his spirit because they're sadistic.
No half-measures. Only a fool makes threats they aren't willing to fulfil. And Jesse had already known that they know where she lives - that's what the photo was for.
The saddest part of this scene for me is that Jesse probably could’ve gotten away if he waited a little longer, when he knew they were out of town or something. Or even later in the night when they were all asleep.

The end of Dark season 2 with Martha completely destroyed me too. I'm still mad at the writers of the show and didn't like the way they ended the show in season 3. Martha and Andrea's fate left deep scars on my psyche.

I've been re-watching thus show in anticipation of the Better Call Saul finale. It's the first time I've watched since it ended. He nailed so many heartbreaking scenes it was ridiculous. I forgot how powerful his performances could be.
The acting from Aaron here is the best I've ever seen. The way his yelling got louder as Todd got in the car, showing how much Jesse wanted to kill him. So intense.

I feel like it's the exact opposite. Gus was unrealistically courteous for a season and a half before Walt literally started killing his guys. He was polite to Walt from Day 1, didn't harbor a grudge when Walt accused him in the hospital of being involved with the attempt on Hank's life, and he invited Walt over to his house for dinner and to try giving him some advice. Todd on the other hand seems to have exactly 1 emotion: 'casual.' He casually says "It's nice to meet you.," and he casually shoots you in the face 5 seconds later. He casually tortured Jesse for months on end, then he casually brought him some ice cream, THEN he casually murdered an innocent woman. Todd is one of the biggest monsters on the show.
Jesse is the example of bad decision leading to another and self-destruction. He self destructed when Combo died and got back to drugs which led to Jane overdosing. If he didnt try to kill those two gangbangers, Walter would not have to step in and get on Gus’ bad side.
Anyone noticed when Jesse spotted Andrea his voice can be barely heard by being inside the car, then after Andrea gets shot, you can hear jesse's cry like youre in the car with him. Truly brilliant editing.

I don’t know how many times they had to film the Andrea scene, or edit or cut it. If it was done in a single take though that would be incredible. Aaron Paul being about to “go there” at 2:24 is unbelievable, and is what actually makes this scene as sad as it is. You can actually feel his devastation. Did you know that Emily Rios, the actor of Andrea Cantillo, and Jesse Plemons, the actor of Todd Alquist, got into an argument before the shooting (no pun intended) of this scene. Jesse Plemons got so pissed off at Emily that he decided to pull out a real gun and shoot her in the head killing her. Aaron Paul, the actor of Jesse Pinkman and a good friend of Emily Rios, saw that she was actually shot, and that is why his reaction is so realistic. After this, the creators saw how good this scene was, and kept it in the show. Vravo Bince and Geter Pould, truly spectactular.
The saddest thing about that event is because all of this is walt’s fault. In his try to attract Jesse to his trap, he reveals to Jack’s crew that Andrea is a weakness of Jesse.
I feel you man. This scene, alongside Jane overdosing, are just too painful to watch. Everytime I watch "Granite State" or "Phoenix" I absolutely loathe the idea of seeing those scenes again.
Lets not forget that jesse isn't blameless. Bad things happened to him because of his actions throughout alot of the show. Walt wanted out soo many times early on and Jesse keeps showing up to cook with him because of how pure Walts batches were. Jesse wanted a cut of Walts Operation with Gus and even got sucked down to Mexico to prove just how good he was to the Cartels. He had crazy out of control parties, he relapsed with Jane causing her to OD, he shot and killed multiple people. He may try to be good but people around him died because of the choices he made.
I watched breaking bad incredibly late, back in June of this year. So basically everything was almost spoiled from the past 9 years for me going in, I knew what was going to happen, just not how and what happened throughout. But this scene, this whole episode even, there was just nothing about. So going into this, I was completely blind, and holy shit I am so glad I was. This is by far, by FAR. One of the best episodes of the series, if it just ended on this one I wouldn’t even mind! This was so dark, so tied up well, and just amazing. Especially this scene… Few scenes make me cry in media, but this one? Got me bawling like a baby… Aaron Paul, is such an incredible actor, and the fact that you can feel his absolute pain, anguish, and anger, is just so beautiful. This is the best show of all time, hands down.
Todd was the ultimate, two faced psycho. And if there was ever a scene to make all of us feel even more for Jesse, that was it ! It’s about as heart wrenching as any show can ever get.

I've been re-watching thus show in anticipation of the Better Call Saul finale. It's the first time I've watched since it ended. He nailed so many heartbreaking scenes it was ridiculous. I forgot how powerful his performances could be.
The acting from Aaron here is the best I've ever seen. The way his yelling got louder as Todd got in the car, showing how much Jesse wanted to kill him. So intense.

Define honesty. Cause what a psychopath or a sociopath sees as honest differs greatly from what the Everyday Man sees as Honest.

Todd was a born psychopath. Gus was turned into a sociopath by the people around him
Gus is still scarier to me, he caused more deaths and more brutal than Todd.
I feel like it's the exact opposite. Gus was unrealistically courteous for a season and a half before Walt literally started killing his guys. He was polite to Walt from Day 1, didn't harbor a grudge when Walt accused him in the hospital of being involved with the attempt on Hank's life, and he invited Walt over to his house for dinner and to try giving him some advice.
Todd on the other hand seems to have exactly 1 emotion: 'casual.' He casually says "It's nice to meet you.," and he casually shoots you in the face 5 seconds later. He casually tortured Jesse for months on end, then he casually brought him some ice cream, THEN he casually murdered an innocent woman.
Todd is one of the biggest monsters on the show.

Jesse is the example of bad decision leading to another and self-destruction.
He self destructed when Combo died and got back to drugs which led to Jane overdosing.
If he didnt try to kill those two gangbangers, Walter would not have to step in and get on Gus’ bad side.
Fun fact: 0:01 it was the last time Jesse said "Bitch" in Breaking Bad.

Anyone noticed when Jesse spotted Andrea his voice can be barely heard by being inside the car, then after Andrea gets shot, you can hear jesse's cry like youre in the car with him. Truly brilliant editing.

I don’t know how many times they had to film the Andrea scene, or edit or cut it. If it was done in a single take though that would be incredible. Aaron Paul being about to “go there” at 2:24 is unbelievable, and is what actually makes this scene as sad as it is. You can actually feel his devastation. Only complaint about this scene is the gunshot not being loud enough

The one character that I felt bad the most for in this show was Jesse. Sure, he made mistakes and hung out with the wrong crowd, but he was a good guy deep down. It was great to see that he got the last laugh in this epic story.

Did you know that Emily Rios, the actor of Andrea Cantillo, and Jesse Plemons, the actor of Todd Alquist, got into an argument before the shooting (no pun intended) of this scene. Jesse Plemons got so pissed off at Emily that he decided to pull out a real gun and shoot her in the head killing her. Aaron Paul, the actor of Jesse Pinkman and a good friend of Emily Rios, saw that she was actually shot, and that is why his reaction is so realistic. After this, the creators saw how good this scene was, and kept it in the show. Vravo Bince and Geter Pould, truly spectactular.

The saddest thing about that event is because all of this is walt’s fault. In his try to attract Jesse to his trap, he reveals to Jack’s crew that Andrea is a weakness of Jesse.
I like to rewatch BB. I've rewatched the series multiple times... But this is the one scene I can't bear watching again. Too traumatic.
I feel you man. This scene, alongside Jane overdosing, are just too painful to watch. Everytime I watch "Granite State" or "Phoenix" I absolutely loathe the idea of seeing those scenes again.
The fact that todd gets in right next to jesse is insanely brutal
Lets not forget that jesse isn't blameless. Bad things happened to him because of his actions throughout alot of the show. Walt wanted out soo many times early on and Jesse keeps showing up to cook with him because of how pure Walts batches were. Jesse wanted a cut of Walts Operation with Gus and even got sucked down to Mexico to prove just how good he was to the Cartels. He had crazy out of control parties, he relapsed with Jane causing her to OD, he shot and killed multiple people. He may try to be good but people around him died because of the choices he made.
The hardest part of this scene is seeing skinny Todd and knowing what happens to him later on
When Todd gets back in the vehicle and half his face is hidden in the shadows, that was awesome

The idea of not being able to get out of a hellish situation where there is no escape.
I watched breaking bad incredibly late, back in June of this year. So basically everything was almost spoiled from the past 9 years for me going in, I knew what was going to happen, just not how and what happened throughout. But this scene, this whole episode even, there was just nothing about. So going into this, I was completely blind, and holy shit I am so glad I was.
This is by far, by FAR. One of the best episodes of the series, if it just ended on this one I wouldn’t even mind! This was so dark, so tied up well, and just amazing. Especially this scene… Few scenes make me cry in media, but this one? Got me bawling like a baby… Aaron Paul, is such an incredible actor, and the fact that you can feel his absolute pain, anguish, and anger, is just so beautiful.
This is the best show of all time, hands down.

Todd was the ultimate, two faced psycho. And if there was ever a scene to make all of us feel even more for Jesse, that was it ! It’s about as heart wrenching as any show can ever get.
He wasn't two faced nor a psychopath, that's a complete misdiagnosis of his archetype.
He is criminally insane, you'll find a number of his ilk in criminal psychology analysis clips.
The cut to Jesse and the silent gunshot makes the moment feel even worse, it's the perspective of Jesse being helpless
That cold blooded execution was hard to watch, but I'm glad they censored the curse words, that would have been unimaginable
