Absolutely lovely story Will. Most people don't realize the importance that storytelling has had for our species; it was a way to pass on traditions, knowledge, impart teachings, entertain, and even making the kids fall asleep every evening. Storytelling is not only an inevitable consequence of having speech, but it's perhaps the primary catalyst in allowing us to develop said speech in the first place.

Thank you for sharing providing this experience, I’ve learned a lot already from this series. Both from the napping and the story, which is captivating and should be continued for sure.

Mr. Lord I love your crafts and arts that inspire the spirit of practicing old heritage and keeping the the old ways around. I have been practicing flintknapping for a while and you inspire me, but this year for Christmas I wanted to make my parents a stone knife for them to use while butchering our yearly deer harvest. Since flint separates meat from the hide better than a steel knife I was hoping you could tell me what flint should I use to try to make the knife out of. If you can tell me what would be the best I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Were daggers or knives like this one your making made back in the day....with the full flint tang.
Or were they hafted to a piece of antler or wood

The first part of the story you speak of Finn's sister but as the story continues it turns into the three of them instead of the four of them and you do not mention Finn's sister anymore or what happened to her was she left behind?

I think they are referring to the part where the mum plucked the feathers for the shoe insulation and arrow fletching
No idea how it became a sister
      Wishful thinking? lol
