I don't see why you can't do what you always have which is just film whatever you are painting at the time and sharing that with us. That's the old style youtube content we love. The algorithm is designed to push sponsored creators, but people are getting bored of the slick production nonsense. That stuff relies on constant new product reviews and there is only so much of that possible and it seems to be dying down so there's only so much of that stuff people can stand and more people are 3d printing their models now so maybe a review for different models that are available, how easy they are to print, how the well the supports work etc would get more views. Also there's no reason you couldn't get sponsorship from one of the smaller paint companies like Coat D'Arms or Warcolours that would like more promotion. Reviews of different colors, how to use them etc might get a few more views. TH-cam sucks. We all know this, but you are a light in a dark place and shouldn't give that up. God bless.

been watching since 2009 when i was a kid first learning how to paint. You, Templarscrusade01 and Miniwargaming were the first warhammer youtubers i ever watched, so thankyou for all the help your videos gave me to learn to paint miniatures!

Tag them ASMR, brush sounds, soft spoken… that stuff is popular.
I always like the pace of your videos, I don’t need to be shouted at constantly with jump cuts and fast talking. I like to chill out listening to your videos and watching you paint while I’m sitting in my arm chair putting my 3yo son to sleep.

your channel was super helpful to me years ago when I started playing again after university and wanted to paint better than I did as a kid, and your were perfect - explaining the whole proccess without making it overly complicated. over the last 5 years or so youtube has really professionalised and you're one of the last of the old school channels like this and it's a shame because I think theres a degreee of personal touch lost in the contemporary video making proccess.
I urge you not to view this as a failure. it seems to me that your channel stayed true to it's intent and provided what it intended to for years. I think you improved as a creator - and a painter - over that time as well. just recently I went back to the orc painting tutorial you made years ago which first got me watching, to compare how I paint orcs now with how you did then, then checked some more over time to see how much you've improved. you have for sure. in that sense it doesnt really matter what other creators have done, or how they've done it. you provided a valuable service and grew personally. that's a win, simple as that.
and it goes without saying that you can come back and make videos whenever you want, about what you want, when you want. I hope to hear from you again, but either way all the very best.

I watched your channel since I got into warhammer all the way to today, I whent from essentially a little boy to a grown man in that time frame and have really loved your videos and painting, especially this year have I learned how competitve the youtube thing has become nad you have to stay on top of things, one change in the algorithm and you have to make a shift in your content.
I am looking at doing youtube myself and it is pretty daunting, nonetheless I would like to thank you for all the great videos and fond memories and great source of inspiration, and I will still be here watching the odd video you upload.

Have been watching for a decade now I think. I’ll always be there for the unboxings, cooking videos, product reviews etc. I stopped watching the painting videos because I’m not into painting anymore, but all the other stuff is always so calming and interesting for me. I know it’s not really financially feesible for you, but for me basically any other type of content than painting is going to be the most interesting. Anyway, I hope you still make some videos even for a handful of us, just for fun! Maybe once a month? I wish you all the best!

You are one of the first painting youtubers I started watching when I got into the hobby. I always have enjoyed hearing you talk over your videos, you always talk to your viewers like we're just friends sitting around a table, painting together. I painted my 40k starter set based off many of your tips something like.... 12 ish years ago? But the algorithm sucks, and I hate that youtube serves us things we recently viewed over things we are subscribed to. If you're done, I understand. But it's sad to see you go, and I can't help but feel like we, as viewers can do something to game the algorithm further than just liking, commenting, and subscribing. You're wonderful, and you have helped keep me in this hobby so thank you for all your hard work!

Thank you very much for your videos ! I have been subsribed to your chanel for god nows how many years. I started watching your videos froom shool since i was 14 or even younger, now i am 26. And thanks to you i learned not only miniature painting but also english leanguage. I am from Russia and back in the days we didnt have much warhammer related content and even fewer painting tutorials. So i started to watch wrhammer content on english. At first I couldn't understand much, but since the content I was watching was related to a hobby I really enjoyed, it wasn't too hard to learn English. Right now my work is directly related to speaking English so thanks to you and other youtubers like warbosstae, bluetablepainting and all warhammer youtube veterans i learned not only my hobby but also skill that would help me work in the future. And for me it's very sad that most of the channels that were among the first to start making Warhammer content on TH-cam are now getting a few hundred views per video. The only ones I can think of that are still more or less successful are minewargaming. I think the main problem with TH-cam is that it's basically a manopoly, so they can do whatever they want with their algorithms, monetization and so on. And youtubers around the world simply don't have an alternative video hosting site where they can post their content. Sorry for the politics, but when for known reasons, TH-cam turned off monitoring in Russia, a lot of other platforms appeared where people can gain millions of views and earn money. I hope that in the near future there will be a video hosting that will be able to compete with TH-cam on the worlds market and make both sites develop. But enough on the sad note. Thanks for this wonderful journey and I wish you find a way to make money from your hobby again.

Thank you for sharing your work with all of us. I had zero interest in warhammer growing up and very little in miniature painting in general, however I stumbled upon your tutorial for painting Krell. I could not explain why, but I've always enjoyed that video in particular. Years would go by and I eventually did become obsessed with painting miniatures and I remembered enjoying your tutorials. They are great companions to painting sessions and I appreciate them now even more than before. Wishing you the best for the future and thank you again for all your effort to make us better painters.

Thank YOU so much. The time and money and energy you've given to the hobby, and us is very much appreciated. The world has been tough on many people, and knowing that you're feeling down over the current circumstances of today is hard. You're you, and we're glad for it. As one of the 'everyday people' that needs to know that I can start with what I have, and that what I CAN do, is keep growing and improving and trying new things. Your bullet holes have been my favorite thing I've learned from you, aside from your cooking videos, which always teach me new things!
Keep your chin up, remember we are here, we're not TH-cam. Maybe a new venue? Maybe just repost old videos with new voiceover for updates? Maybe some other idea that will come to you as you read comments from your loyal viewers! Maybe paid polls for future videos, that you make when you reach a certain 'funding level'?
Again, THANK YOU from somebody else that isn't a video editor, but whom envies your courage to take video, and share it. You're an inspiration to us.

Try to stand up, do what you're good at...
Sometimes you have to get on your feet again pulling yourself up on your own hair... But allways I find comfort in painting, flocking grass on a diorama...
Yeah, do a cooking video, I'll definitely watch it!😂❤

Sorry to hear the issues and hate to see you down about this, TH-cam sucks in this regard. I have learned so much from you over the years and you got me to the very first paint job I was ever proud of by learning from you and I think that was around 10 years ago. I have learned so many techniques from you since then as well. I love your style of videos, its real and it gets to the point, they are great to learn from. I hope that you can continue to enjoy yourself with what you do with painting away from the camera, that's what matters the most. Take care and thank you for all you've done for me and I'm sure many others, now go get some good use out of that printer and enjoy yourself, you deserve it.

Your video about not just living vicariously through youtube hobny vids, and being enamored by spectacle was a massive, massive help for me. These days i make simple stuff, cardboard terrain, ships from garbage, and i paint by the tutorials you make which remind me that just /doing/ anything is worth so much more than watching someond do something huge. Your perspective and humor are invaluable to this space. Thanks for grounding us and thank you for /being/ you. Very, very longtime subscriber here, been lurking since your how to dip warriors video was a new upload. Your videos were always relaxing to me before ASMR was ever a trending thing, and comforting to have on while I painted my own stuff. In a way it’s like having had a painting buddy for many years that I’ve never met; the internet is cool and weird that way.
Sentiments aside, I’ll second others recommendations to use tags, that will help videos gain hits beyond the first day spike. Otherwise, don’t chase the algorithm. I think many of us would attest to the fact that there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to the popularity of our own videos, and altering how you produce content to chase views isn’t a game worth playing.
What drew me, and I assume many others, to your channel is your authenticity. No slick production, no unrelated sponsored content in the middle of a video, no clickbait-y images, just videos made by a friend showing us whatever she’s up to in the hobby. That’s the heart of this channel, that’s why we’re here.
    Keep up the great work.

This is really sad to hear, I've been a follower for a long time and have been subscribed for I cant even remember how many years at this point. TH-cam is certainly not what it once was and this algorithm has done nothing but hurt smaller content creators from what I've seen, in fact it's killed off a lot of my favorite ones over the past few years because it just doesn't feed their content to their viewers the way it should. That said, I hope you're not gone forever and still pop in occasionally to show off something or simply share a painting video. Regardless I wish you the best in your next hobby chapter whatever that may be.

I hope Im not coming across negatively but here are some points Id like to make.
You have a great channel. Ive been subscribed for a while and I consider you one of the best brush painters I know.
As a trans person myself, you have given me a lot of confidence, not just in my painting but also in my personal and mental well being.
Im not keen on thi skind of video where you "bleat" on about how little your channel is making. I know its important but you now come across that you arent interested as much in the hobby but more about how much money you can make.
You mention about downloading and painting STL files. What a great idea. Many of us are not super rich and GW are making it harder for us to buy quality models. So why not focus on these cheaper models and give us feedback on them. Download, review, paint and talk. Even reviews on the not so great ones are useful.
However, saying all that I notice that your videos do not have a description or tags. I believe these really help. I know when I put effort into adding tags my videos seem to do a little better. Have you considered taking the time and effort into learning how to make that element more effective.
Anyway, I hope this cam across as a constructive critique. I do not wish to see your channel die and Ill do what I can to help you grow. Perhaps we could do a joint live? Im only a small you tuber but surely any little helps?

Even though it may be to late most of the TH-cam channels I watch ALWAYS say to “like” , “comment “ and “subscribe “ and to be sure they have notifications turned on. I’ve been missing all your new videos because my notifications wasn’t turned on.

Its a shame. I learned a lot from your channel many years ago. GWs prices are insane and I've switched to 3d printing to. The people the come out to defend GW are ridiculous and blind that they are being taken for a ride.

Rest assured, you have many fans who will wait for every video you're gonna make in the future. I hope all will be well for you

Even from a viewers standpoint, you tube has really messed up. I have to actively search for content I'm subscribed to, while trawling through rivers of random stuff. Random unwanted stuff that totalls drowns my page. The crazy advert situation doesn't help either. Thanks for all your videos over the years. Love that Demon, where's he available from?

I'm only 5 minutes into this video but I think you should try live streaming rather than video uploads. That live instant two way interaction can do a lot for morale and desire to donate.

I’ve been subscribed for about ten years now. I recently saw your videos in shorts, which brought me back. Maybe try more shorts? Or edit full length videos down to shorts ❤️

its frustrating because I don't even get notifications when my subscriptions post.

Make sure you tell your viewers to turn on ALL notifications for your channel so we will know when you post a new video 👍

I get it, its tough to make it on youtube these days. mostly due to the algorithm forcing content creators to churn videos out at a stupid pace, all with some wacky premise/ nonsense (if squidmar makes another video about temu i'm going to fire bomb his studio). I'm sad to see you go, as many here have said you were an early inspiration to me, I'm sorry things didnt work out. All the best in the future, hope to see you around cyberspace sometime.

Scrolling through your content I see some random unrelated videos to painting (such as food, Spiderverse theory). The TH-cam algorithm doesn't like that. Keep your content focused on one thing per channel. If you want more views, then you've got to work with the algorithm, that's just how it is. I suggest doing some research on the TH-cam algorithm and how best to do SEO.

It's not even what one has recently watched, I seem to get weird suggestions on the basis of God knows what.
Then again, for some reason, I get recommended weird videos that have 1-10 likes.
The Data Scientists working on YT should maybe find himself another job.
If you don't like making videos because you like doing it then there is absolutely no sense in doing them.
Making money off of youtube isn't really as easy as people want to make you believe.
