The Irvine foxtrot is unique, even today. Same with the quickstep. The same with Eggleton´s fantastic Gary Sharp video channel quickstep show. Note that Irvine and Eggleton ALWAYS place feet under the weight of the body, making the dance light, and relaxed. No long steps. This is SO different from the strenuous, long-striding modern quickstep. But Arunas and Katusha, and the Hiltons, had it perfectly. In the quickstep here, Irvine is supreme in timing and technique, even more perfect than Eggleton.
