Stunning! This is much more like it. Feels like Steve may have had a major influence on the direction and sound. Steve is ace and rarely gets attention or credit but we only need to look at his influence on Chelsea Girl, Today Forever, or any of the songs on Nowhere, Going Blank Again or Weather Diaries. I’ve always felt Ride produced their best songs when really experimenting and working cohesively as a group. I hope the rest of the album is similar. And agree with other comments about this song being featured on a film, a big budget film needs to pick this up and send Ride stratospheric, they certainly deserve a much wider audience to recognise their brilliance.
Can't wait for the new album and I've already got tickets for Newcastle in September..I've loved Ride since 1989 and saw them a few times back in the day.
This is lovely. It has something of the open hearted honesty of the first album by The Lightning Seeds. There's a purity and sweetness to Ride at their best that restores my faith in innocence

Though the new album is wonderful, I just now realized what is missing. One of the things I absolutely loved about early Ride was the harmonizing vocals when both Mark and Andy would sing. Still a great album.
I really really like Rides 3 albums since getting back together but this 1 really captures em in a futuristic way collectively what I love about Ride..all their influences on display in a ride way …it’s like I’ve jumped in a spacecraft and landed on planet Ride looking back at earth..waiting for earth to catch up..none of my mates dig ride..kinda gutted no one else close is feeling it but chuffed you tube has plenty of ride fans..hopefully get to see em on this tour at some point

Someone mentioned there’s rumours that ride’s new album’s songs sound like lightning seeds by new order .. and I was thinking about it and really can’t imagine that ride would write a song about football in the future or maybe not in this century…!!!
The vocals and all the performances are surprisingly New Order-like for some reason. I would like to see them write a song with their originality like "Nowhere".

They do deserve it but I selfishly don't want them to be massive. I quite like being able to get tickets for every tour without much hassle.
