- MandRproductions starts another LEGO Star Wars Battle of Hoth MOC series... but will this one end up any different? Start by taking a trip down memory lane of failed MandR LEGO Star Wars Hoth MOCS of old, then I'll explain why Twitch is the reason this new LEGO MOC series has started now, and do what I do best... start a LEGO Star Wars MOC.

FYI, as someone who also bought those tables, you can turn the feet to raise the height of the table to get everything exactly level. No need for paper!

you could always pull the tables apart by an inch so that the white baseplates don’t overhang if you decide to go with those

Must feel good knowing that you are finally able to put parts to use that you have hoarded over the years, than you can further validate with the point that they can now generate some revenue for you. Most people hoarding parts with the intent of progressing to the "creative outlet," but just get stuck at the hoarding phase.

I think you made the right decision about not having it hang over the edge of the table
You could pull the tables apart a couple of inches so that there is a gap in the middle. The baseplates can bridge the gaps and still be structurally sound and no more overhang on the sides.

That is a smooth art style version of yourself, MandR.
Suggestion: for later down the line, the 4+ snowspeeder could make for a good, cheap way to get multiple speeders to fill up space in the base/add detail to the battle (though I assume you'll want to use a more accurate version for any major set-pieces) they can be used as half-buried, crashed speeders in the snow or as speeders being stored in the echo base hangar.

7:47 I have these same Costco tables. You can unscrew the feet a bit to even them out.
Should just get an 4x8 sheet of plywood to put over the table. It will keep it level and more solid. Excited for you to work on this.

If the white base plates have anti studs on the bottom you can make it look like snow balling off the side on the bottom

You could have left a space between the tables to make the white base plates end evenly. You could even have stuck a few 2x4 bricks between the tables to make the space even and sturdy :)
I’ve done a hoth moc before my advice is to use the ucs AT-AT in the foreground then two smaller in the middle and background for a sense of scale

I missed the very first attempt but I've been here for the others and I think 4th time is the charm
You could use a razor blade on the white base plates and run over the excess multiple times and then snap it over the edge of the table, and then put the piece somewhere in the middle instead of on the edge.
Use smaller baseplates there are some that are like 10 by ten and they might fit.
