Early detection and treatment of ocular manifestations of Gaucher’s disease are important to prevent permanent damage
to vision. An ophthalmological assessment involving a dilated fundus examination and optical coherence tomography can facilitate
early diagnosis and follow‑up of ocular manifestations. Timely surgery may be required to preserve functional vision in patients with
severe ocular disease.
