ASMR is essentially a made up acronym (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response ) used to describe that tingly / buzzing feeling you may have experienced in your head or running down your spine. The sensation can be triggered by personal attention, tutorials, sounds etc. If you are discovering "ASMR" videos for the first time, their primary purpose is just to relax and almost always to send the listener to sleep.
Who else likes role plays better than regular asmr stuff. Especially from Matt
It depends on my mood, but for the most part I prefer roleplay to just random tapping and stuff. If I'm using ASMR to concentrate on work or something, the "regular" kind is better because it's less distracting, but I like the roleplay kind for relaxing.

Hey Matt, idea for you:
The viewer is staying in a hotel and is on their way to the pool for a midnight swim/hot tub session. They run into the janitor in the hallway on the way who is cleaning the floor. The viewer stops to have a friendly conversation and they get caught up talking for 20+ minutes.

Why is the ASMR Community literally the best? all I see is love for the creator by other creators! it just warms my heart. also very relaxing to listen too
I think a certain type of person follows them in the first place. People whose preferred natural state is chilled and laid back. As stress free as possible.
Once we're in that state through watching the videos... well... We want to share that feeling 😊

I have a feeling that this hotel would be fantastic when it came to handicap accessibility. *looks nervously at all the stairs while sitting in her chair* I feel that Matt would make sure I would be 100% comfortable, he just seems like that kind of person. I don't really get anything out of the hair brushing or Back tracing type videos with no real sound. So, Matts's role play videos...to watch just to relax or listen to, to fall asleep are my favorites. Now I really understand why kids like to have stories read to them at bedtime...I can't fall asleep without some good ASMR role play video playing in the background as I try to doze off.

You should do a video as someone who works at a 5 star restaurant. You know, the ones where you have like 3 forks and 3 spoons, multiple courses, and a guy who's sole job is to explain the menu. Not the waiter, the other guy, who just recommends pairing and explains items. That would be great

The water bit got me... not a lot of people realize that water can have a flavor to it... the town I live in has a neighborhood which has what was named the worlds cleanest tap water a couple years ago. Unfortunately this means I dislike the water whenever I travel because I'm spoiled lol

I often play asmr while I’m up cleaning my house in the middle of the night and my husband and infant son are sleeping upstairs, and I almost woke them both up with my laughter at the “Ghost” reference. Love your videos!

All those dishes you've described are making me hungry. I wish this place was real. Only thing is that I wish your video had some quiet music in the background. Without music, I imagine being snowed in. The snow dampens the sound of the cars going by outside. The elevators would be out of order and it's awkward and lonely being the only guest on this floor.
