"What's you're probable cause for searching my vehicle?"..."Is a traffic violation a misdemeanor or a felony?".... Dont drive around smoking giving them a reason to press you... Best way to handle interactions with police is to always answer their question with a question and stand your ground... "I'm sorry but I don't UNDERSTAND".... "Is that the law?"... "Am I free to go?" ... The first thing a cop does is try to establish a verbal contract.. "do you UNDERSTAND why I'm pulling you over?"... Always always always say NO!! 'Do you understand' in this scenario means 'Do you STAND UNDER my authority?"...
