Your videos helped me improve my skills and my confidence the whole of last year I was playing for my school's E team or F team and a week ago I just finished this year's school rugby season as a B team player and I've played a couple matches for the first team and you played a big part in my improvements 💪🏉
This is amazing to hear! well done pal! its all down to your hard work and determination!! what was the best part about your season? any stand out moments?
@@TheRugbyTrainerTV standout moment one game a first team player was injured so I got to play for them against Bastion I scored a coast to coast try it was definitely my best of the year
Thank you for your videos! I just started with a local team (as a beginner) and definitely need help outside of practice. And these videos are great for that! I haven’t done this exercise yet, But I will be trying it after work today.
@@TheRugbyTrainerTV Hi. What I took from it is my insuficient spin of the ball. My son has quite a decent pass and has told me before that I lack spin and use too much arm movement. Your excellent video showed me that more clearly. I have not yet done a session with your exercises but will do this weekend and will post my thoughts here on the comment section. Once again, thank you so much. Pedro from Portugal.
@@TheRugbyTrainerTV I tried this weekend with my son (I am 55 and he is 28) and loved it. The spin is definitely the missing link for both of us, although he has a strong left hand pass. Anyway we both noticed a gain right from the first 5 minutes of the one hand upward spin with the tennis ball tucked under the arm. We practiced passing at close range (about 4 to 5 meters) with focus on the twinky finger behind the ball and the spin of the ball, and it really showed improvement. We will keep practicing and by the end of the summer I finally hope to have a decent pass. Just a side note - I participated on the Touch Rugby World Cup in Nottingham 2 weeks ago, on the Portuguese National over 50s team and the pass was definitely our weak spot...
Thanks for this, can you do another follow along sessions with a half ball that you can do on your own? I’m lacking equipment but I do have a half ball so that would be useful for me
Do you have any tips on improving your bad side passing? I have an insanely good pass on one side and dogwater on the otherside - I've been trying to practice on it but it feels so awkward
@@TheRugbyTrainerTV Doesn't feel awkward and can throw it accurate and far. On the bad side I can barely throw it 5 meters and twirls terribly. I have been trying to focus on using the correct leg but still feels really awkward
hey, yes of course, so as mentioned in the video you can let some air out of the ball or you can buy a smaller rugby ball. Rhino rugby also has a sponge ball which is great.
I love rugby I want to be a pro rugby player this channel is the only reason I'm even a bit good at it I do this exercise every night@@TheRugbyTrainerTV
