For anyone who's wondering if this takes place before or after the pilot Pilot Blitz: "what about a billboard" Pilot Moxxie: "We can't afford a billboard" This episode: there's a billboard when luna pulls out the book. I feel like that shows that this is after the pilot
It is after the pilot, remember Stolas phonecall in this episode? He said "You know i been *legally* let you access to mortal realm for some time now, but i do need it back" Meaning between pilot episode and this episode been quite some time now...
that sucks. helluva boss has _WAY_ more potential, actual likeable characters, easy to look at scenes, the sound effects match up with what's happening, and the humor isnt try hard
@@jrw2319 Yeah, that is why I am glad Helluva Boss didn't get picked up by a Studio but continues to be a n independent TH-cam Show. That way there is no danger a Studio will try to exert their creative influence and ruin it somehow. And to be honest, I always like Helluva Boss more than Hazbin Hotel, though I love both.
To answer your question, this is episode One. Pilots aren't always official episodes. They're the sales pitch the creators give to networks when trying to get their show made. Allot of times the general audience never sees the pilot episode, unless the network releases it as an extra included in a box set of the series. So once a network views the pilot and green lights it, they work with the creators on changes to the cast, characters or any other aspect of the series, then they film episode one, which is when in series cannon starts. We probably only got to see the pilot because Viziepop crowd funded this, so we're the network.
I've watched several reactions to this episode. Most of them don't mention the head mounted on the wall, but do see the spine lamp. If you go back to the "you're a hero" sequence and look at the wallpaper in her bedroom there is a pelvic bone pattern . The wheelchair has an urn on it. Another thing in background is when the fire dept is leaving, read the billboard in the background. IT's likely the one Moxxie mentions in the pilot when he says Blitzo wasted their paycheck on a billboard... the billboard in this episode had too many words, implying the company cheated IMP by printing the directions along with the actual quote that's suppose to be on it.
I already had to pause a minute in because you guys blew my mind by telling be the Crimson Chin was voice by Jay Leno lol. It's been a while since I saw the show and I never would have guessed
Fun Fact, the teacher is voiced by Mara Wilson; who is known for playing Matilda in her youth
Yep!
*Insert tormenting Nostalgia Critic here*
Oh really that’s funny she’s a teacher now
Don't f*** with mara wilson.Wilson. 😄

I can't say anything on that. It could be a mistake, or it could be on intentional. So its safe to say, so far its before the pilot.
That could also be interpreted as they can't afford a new or another billboard. They may have already had one.

@@myoumyou90 oh yea i forgot about that.
Hazbin got picked up for a full series with an actual Studio, while helluva is being worked on in the off time for vivziepop Channel
The reason hazbin hotel hasn’t had episodes put out is cause it was picked up by a studio and is gonna become an official tv show

You better react to every single episode!

A pilot is a test episode to see if it works well
Also yeah they did change the voice actor for the milly (the wife) and the owl. I can’t spell his name and not gonna try
it's Stolas
pronounced Stole-Us
@@lokhunt4329 thank you
Stolas is whatever, most of his lines will be bleeped anyway. Milly's voice im still up in the air on which i prefer.
