Angie, I understand how you create, because I work the same way...I put things together...take them apart till they look right to me...We're visual people!
When I moved, I laid down painters tape on the floor to see how the big furniture and stuff would fill up the space. That way, I could move some of it if I thought it would not work out so well. Once the really heavy furniture is down, it is hard to move around without a lot of help. I am a very independent person and normally I would move things around myself, but as I have gotten older, it has been harder and I get impatient waiting for my grandsons to come by to help! So this last time I moved, I used the tape down on the floor and I did change some things before the furniture got there - that way I didn’t have to wait for the kids to help me out. Good luck. Looks great.
I'm working on Valentine's Day cards and yours caught my eye while scrolling through TH-cam. I love the card, love this fun fold, and after making it I thought it would be a good easel card as well. Most definately not an easy card to snap a photo of so I let it sit like an easel. Love your projects.
You are so real and fun to listen to. I especially love when you say ruh roh and think out loud and fix things as you go. It makes me feel like I can do what you do without havingto worry about making mistakes. I have to say you are my favorite stampinup person on youtube. I love your cards and boxes. You are very creative. I have accumulated a lot of products and need to organize my craft room bedroom. It looks like I am a hoarder cause everything is in stacks on my table and floor. So I will be interested in seeing your room to get ideas. I can’t start making cards until that gets done. LOL I did not hear what you have at the bottom of your picture. Windows to the right, stamps to upper left and all your supplies at the top. But what is at the bottom nearest you in the video? I think your Big Shot cart should be on lockable wheels so whatever side of the table you work on you could have it next to you without needing to walk to the corner every time you use it. Then when you are finished your project it can be rolled back in the corner for storage. It will be a work in progress designing what drawers hold what because as you use stuff you’ll know what needs to be near you because it gets used the most. Good luck!
awww, thank you so much!! The bottom of that diagram is where I've placed my computer, printer and file cabinet to do all my admin work. Great idea for locking wheels on the big shot station. I'm still trying to find a unit that will fit in that space. I hope you can get through your stacks of stuff. I'm doing that too in our storage area. I just this week found our wedding guest cards from 28 years ago :) They are officially in the trash (my hubby and I looked through them one more time last night before we trashed them).
Love the card Angie. I moved all my craft items 3 yrs ago and I’m still finding ways to organize it all better, seems to be an ongoing thing. I keep too many things also and have to be firm with myself. Hard to let go. Looks like you have it pretty much figured out and that’s what I did which was a big help, I measured all my cabinets etc and was able to place in the diagram. One thing I forgot was the electrical outlets, should have had the electrician put them so the would be above the counter but I managed. Good luck with your move. Thanks again for sharing. Looking forward to your blooper tape, lol. I get a kick out of you, bet you’re a lot of fun to be around. And be careful lifting boxes, don’t hurt your back!
Angie, love, love, love this card. Great fun fold card too. TFS. As for your new room, congratulations and good luck. Seems we have similar layouts. Went from bigger to smaller, but my husband and I really did a lot of detail planning. I started with the center work table (45.5 x 83.5) using 2 Martha Stewart 3 drawer flat file cabinets. There is one on each end, and we installed a working countertop over them. Behind me is an Ikea Galant storage cabinet with sliding doors, and above them I have (2) cubby units that I house projects I've made and lil' trinkets. The cabinet hides my tools and when I'm working I can just reach behind me and grab what I need. It helps when you have a swivel bar stool, but I'm like you and work standing up a lot. My Alex (5) drawers are also against the wall and again we put the same type of countertop on them and my husband built (3) pull out drawers above them for more storage and added a kick plate. He made them the same height as the work table. We extended the closet and added folding doors to them to access the Ikea Hemnes bookcases inside, that has definitely given me a lot more storage. I don't have anything in front of my windows because I wanted to extend my table and just left walking room. But can sit on either side of the table. Or, when my granddaughter comes over to craft with me, she sits across and we get to crafting. Since this is my second time creating a craft space, I decided to really think about how I craft and what my products would be and how to store them. I also researched a lot of crafts room and Jennifer McGuire's room also inspired me. I hope I haven't made this too long. I too started with a diagram and yours looks very thought out. Can't wait to see what it looks like. Happy crafting!
@@chicnscratch You are welcome. I can share pics. I don't know how to add them here, so can I send them to you via FB messenger? I'm part of your Chic n Scratch groups.
When in your current space have pen and paper at the ready. As you do your paper crafting write down how you use your supplies. Ribbon, paper, dimensional's, paper cutter etc. I would think you would want everything within arms reach. Do you want to put your dye cutting machine on the island or keep it on a waist high small table? Make up at least 3 diagrams and see which one you like best for your needs.
I absolutely love how you post the dimensions at the beginning on the right. I haven’t seen anyone else do that and how helpful that is.
Interesting card. Loved the different fun fold. Thanks for sharing your idea.
Great card 🥰
Love the card, hope everything with your new craft room turns out exactly like you want it.
I absolutely love your card. Thank you soooooo much for your wonderful videos.

thank you!! We've made two diagrams and I totally need a third!!
Gorgeous card!!💞
thank you!
It doesn't look like you have enough clearance to get to your Big Shot Station. Other than that it looks pretty sensible.
Where r u going to put your materials
do you mean my fabric? Or my Stampin Up product?
Drawers drawers drawers....you can never have too many drawers.
LOL
