    Just a small observation (you helped me out so much, can't thank you enough): if you are messy with how you handle naming your files (or lists in this case), please remember that renaming your list will not change its URL from the one generated upon creation. Mine was named "Test Call-Ins" at first, then I renamed it for the department to "Dept Call-Ins" so the compose action Paulie listed wouldn't work unless I told it to refer to the "test" name.

    Perfect!! I was looking for a way to change one value field in a list containing over 16 fields, and using an 'Update Item' control was tedious. I could not find anyone else explaining how to update a single value until I found your tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing this information.

      Glad it helped. It’s actually really frustrating to update a row that has a lot of fields.

    This is all great but it would help a lot if you'd expand the "get item" card, I understand that this is obvious for experienced flow builders but without this for newbie the rest of the flow is useless.

    This is all new to me and this video is GREAT! But, I have a question. I am having to update a field for just one item in the list. I followed your instructions but it is taking a long time so I'm concerned that instead of updating just the one item, it might be updating the entire list.
    I did a little more testing and I think my issue is that I'm updating a on premise list going through the On premise data gateway so I am trying to connect to the list but it's not finding it.

      I have not tried it with an on-premise SharePoint instance, so I cannot be of much help I am afraid.

    Would it be possible to use Power Automate to sum the entries into the list on a given day and remove the duplicate entries? We use SP to capture stock taking - 3 columns [SKU; Qty =1; Date]. All the user does is scan the items into the list, then we have to use excel power query to merge and update the list before we can update Stock on Hand in another list.

      Yes. It would be possible.

    why do you have a "Get item" before updating the list?

    • @PaulieM
      @PaulieM  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So I could get the unique ID of the item I wanted to update.
