Sergio, I really appreciate your videos. They are simple in nature and very straight forward with simple yet explicit explanations of the how and why you are constructing your jig as you do. I may not ever make everyone of your jigs but I do appreciate you and your contribution to my woodworking thoughts and ideas of how I might approach one of my projects. I do have to make a comment on all the "haters" out there whether it be on your channel or some other channel that seem they have to run down and degrade somebodies project. To me, it shows a tremendous childish, no it all attitude toward another's idea and work. So to you again, Sergio, I thank you for all of your efforts in helping me to look at woodworking through a different set of eyes.
Interesting jig. For sure worth trying to make it. I have something like that Amazon thingy what Sascha sent a link to but that is good for bigger things not for the smaller branches you showed.
Anyone with a garden has most likely the same problem with lots and lots of branches. Turning them into firewood is a lot of work, but it is still a good option. Your jig is simple enough and makes things easier. Fixing the saw in a frame and cutting on the upper side of the bar would be a different approach. But best is, what works for you.
If you make the front bracket taller (and fix the handle down for safety)you can cut on the top of the blade without moving the saw using the front bracket as a stop to cut against

how long it took you to think of that idea and make that jig you could have cut all those pieces if you use the chainsaw properly will be much safer than that jig you made
You made a miter saw... why not just buy a miter saw? damn near the same price. Better yet: why not just use the table, the timber teeth on the chainsaw, and skip the rest?

If you have a helper, ( your father ), It is much faster and easier to cut that stuff over a saw horse. Helper handles the wood, you stand and cut.
