I went on Air when I went with College in Summer 2005 for the end of the course trip. I was one of the the best rides I have ever been on it was very smooth and ran on rails. I would like to go on it again one day. Brilliant.
i have been to alton towers bout 15 times and only ONCE have i been on this and it hasn't broken down at all!! every time i go on it like every other ride breaks down!!
In my opinion, this is a great first ride to do at the park. It's relatively tame and very relaxing. I say the final coaster to graduate to would be Nemesis. That is easily the most intense ride in the park, and let's not forget that it is arguably the best coaster in the UK, so I definitely recommend saving it for last.

Went to alton towers this year with my brother and we qued 4 this ride with fastpass, then it broke down. So left q and went on nemesis, then went got let back in fastpass q. Love this ride! It so smooth! :)
The name 'Air' does so much to get you pumped for the ride. What ignorant fuqboi decides to rename and re-theme it, and take away much of what made the ride so cool? Galactica? Really? Screw that! It'll always be Air in my heart.
rollercoasers are pretty much 100% safe. there are just some 1 in 1,000,000 accidents that usually arent that dangerous. some more common accidents are where the ride has to get stopped because of someone filming. that happened to me once and its nothing to worry about. i went on this ride when i was 10 and i loved it! i would recommend you go on every rollercoaster at alton towers.

If you ever go to Alton Towers you HAVE to go on this ride, I can't explain how amazing it is, deffo my favourite ride there:D btw don't worry about falling out because you feel perfectly safe:D
oh and btw if you're going on this ride make sure when you get to the end of the queue go to the bit where you queue up for the front seats cuz you get the best view
Last time I went to AT I went on Air 5 times, Nemmy 4 times, Blade 3 times, the Carousel, RMT, Rapids, Flume, Toadstool, Carousel... Air's still my favourite, but the intensity of Nemmy is hard to beat. I hope it stays at AT forever :)
In my opinion, this is my ultimate rollercoaster! Nemesis is really cool too, but i love air, i have tons of air merchandise at home, be prepared, my room is full of twists and turns! Hehehe, lol!
@samyfist yeahh manta looks awesome!!! this looks alright but when ur on it its absolutely amazing! u feel so weightless! there is soo much airtime in it, its my favorite and its quite a chilled relaxed ride!
John is a great innovator. Thirteen was not white knuckle but more family ride. He is the master at white knuckle rides. Nemesis is the only ride to make me walk funny after riding. And i have ridden a lot of ones around world. Its very intense

i went on this ride twice last wednesday with my girlfriend,one of the best rides ive ever been on, i loved it
It really is amazing when I went on it, it was raining and loads of people were walking beneaf us and it actually felt like you was flying

Im 12 i went on it, the first ride i ever went on in Alton towers and you feel okay, Its really comfatable

I went on the 16th, and I waited 3 hours in the queue for air. I went on the first row though and loved it so much!

Love this ride! Apart from queuing 3 hours for it when it said it would be 80 mins! It's great though, going back on it next week!
