Charlie had the Kelvin club operating out of Tommy Gilmours club in Ingram st in the 70s, I met Charlie there , he used to tell me, I am getting a new club, come over and join me, he said, it’s the only street in Glasgow that’s got a synagogue, a Catholic Church and a Protestant church. . Aparently Southside Boxing Club Glasgow is visiting us in Nuremberg for a friendly boxing match in April. It will be in an oldschool German beer tent. I hope a lot of you Scots come.

The club in Ingram st is closed for many years, but the Kelvin club in Govanhill is still going strong.
