Just discovered these videos this morning! Thank you so much! My great grandparents Frederick and Ada Freeman were from Chalfont St.Peter. They moved to Canada and settled in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Frederick’s son John William Freeman fought in WW1 and died in the early days of the Battle of the Somme … his name is on the memorial in the beautiful church you featured in this and other videos of the village. I hope to be able to visit Chalfont St. Peter on our trip to England (from Alberta, Canada) in July of 2022. ♥️
Thank you Henry for your trilogy [of the quartet] of CSP videos lots of happy memories as I lived in CSP for 25 years with my family. Parish Church where you were Christened was also where my parents married. You are a excellent presenter very clear in your delivery excellent filming as well. Thank you.
Thank you, Henry, for highlighting our village's history plaques, designed and erected by Chalfont St Peter Parish Council's local history and heritage group The Celfunde Inheritance. The group holds a little 'history surgery' on the first Saturday morning of each month upstairs in Chalfont St Peter library. Visitors may op in to chat about local history and to bring along images and artefacts to be researched. This event has had to be put on hold during the pandemic lockdown and the library closure, but should resume in the autumn 2021. In the meantime, local author DJ Kelly's series of local history books may be found at Gerrards Cross book shop or on Amazon.

Thank you for watching and pleased to hear your saw a picture of your grandfather.
Yet another interesting video, Henry. I'm also interested in the various bonds of bricks, but I can never remember which one is which!
Thank you! Was the bonds of bricks on one my videos? Its the sort of thing I might have pointed out but can't remember where!
@@HenrysAdventures I don't recall seeing it, just the mention of it in this one.
@@randomroveruk6715 Funny thing is I talked about herringbone brick/stone work in a video I made yesterday but its a while until I publish that one!
@@HenrysAdventures Herringbone brickwork is very pleasing, often found in timber framed houses.
Still got a football club? I remember Hampton playing the in the old Spartan League in 1970ish
Yes, the football club is still there. It's about 1/4 mile way from the village centre by the River Misbourne upstream.
