    Short run of a new Kingtech K80 (Full Kero Austostart). Very powerful RC Jet engine, creating about 19lb / 8.6kg of thrust at full throttle. runs on Jet A1 and 5% Shell Turbine oil mixture. Very Fun and Very Loud. Enjoy.

      Totally! Saturday afternoon, barbecue... making (non-)aerodynamic things fly, testing how many kN of thrust the neighbourhood can collectively put out. Sounds like a good day to me. =P
      And yea, pesticides kinda suck.

      FPSPhilippines No, as I fly model jets turbines we almost all use FOD screens. Thats the mesh screen thats in fron tof the intake to protect the compressor from foreign objects from getting sucked in. As for the full size aircraft counterparts they do not use them and that allows things to be injested in the engine.

    • @atomstarfireproductions8695
      @atomstarfireproductions8695 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, insects like flies are soft, they won’t even dent any parts (may scratch though), and definitely won’t damage the engine (it will quickly burn up the bug).

    I think in the manual it recommends a 5% oil mixture, so I've been running it on that. I use jet a1 fuel because I can easily get it with my job, but these little engines can run on straight diesel if you want

    How much does this engine weight, and how much thrust does this engine produce? I'm looking for a small lightweight (10kg~15kg) engine that produces 90kg~150kg of thrust... more or less. I'm open to almost any kind of engine: 2-stroke, 4-stroke, rotary/wankel, turbojet or other. Thanks!

    the electric motor on the front of the engine is used the spool the Rhine up to around 3000rpm for start. once the engine ignites and keeps getting faster, the auto start system will shut the starter motor off, as it is no longer required

    I've got the engine mounted on a home made plywood test bench. On the grass it won't push along the ground, but if its on smooth cement it certainly wants to move forward. I only go to half thrust in the video so I don't piss the neighbours off... Whoops too late. If the test bench had wheels it would definitely move forward at idle. I'm gonna put another vid up soon going into more detail about how i set up the engine
