      The Herd with Colin Cowherd Ahem... *tapping the microphone* "The lotto jackpot is now..." sorry "The Boston Celtics will get bounced in round 1". Also also I think GSW will get bounced in round 1 and I hope its courtesy of Westbrook and the OKC squad. That narrative would go down in sports history if Westbrook and an aging Melo and a so so Paul George knocks off a GSW team with a Super Star in Kevin Durant which some feel has surpassed LeBron as best in the world. Durant has his chance to prove how "great" he is oh and I can't wait for all of you "Durantamaniacs" to witness his demise. "Whatcha gonna do brother when Durant and GSW chokes and goes wild on yooooooouuuuuuuu!"

      Colin always sucks up to the big markets what are you talking about. Also glosses over major injuries when they don't fit his narratvie (for the two most important players for that celtics team next year including Kyrie who has an entire NBA career filled injuries) but then has to always bring up Embiid's injury to try and cling to that narrative that the Sixers aren't going to win because he'll get injured for some reason (and also hopes he can revisit his embiid is Greg Oden segment at a later date so he can be proven right). He also is saying lebron is done in the East because he is hoping against hope that Lebron goes to the Lakers so he doesn't have to sweep that under the rug when Lebron decides differently next year.

    Even with Irving they had no chance of winning the championship this season. But without him you'll have all these young Boston players playing more PLAYOFF MINUTES and developing like crazy. Next season its all gonna come together. With the addition of Hayward too !

    If healthy, the celtics can win multiple titles in the next few years if everything goes right for them. Kyrie is only 25 and has not reached his full potential. Hayward is a top 5 SF and very good 2 way player that can complement Kyrie. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have the potential to be superstars in the next few years. Horford is living up to his expectations after the Celtics signed him. They are one of the deepest teams in the league and have a very good bench. Brad Stevens is the best coach outside of Steve Kerr and Greg Popovich and they have one of the best managements in the league.

    If Joel and Simmons are healthy they can beat Boston. Philly in its youth is showing all time great potentional. They are second in the league in assist behind GS. They are a tip 5 defense with Embiid on the floor. A top tier offense predicated on sharing the ball with a top defense equals championships lol. Just ask GS.

    • @natanaelmercado8689
      @natanaelmercado8689 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Celtics number 1 defense and will be a top 5 offense once healthy...they have a deeper team, more experienced veteran allstars, kyrie, hayward and horford...and two young allstar caliber wings in tatum and brown. A deep bench with defenders and scoring and an elite top 3 coach. Youth dont win rings experience does and Celtics have both youth and experience, the ultimate combo, and they can still add one more super star if they wanted too.

    They wouldn't be facing a surprise great team in the pacers, then Toronto, then whoever is left. He would face round 1 trash, round 2 recyclables, then one really good team if they were in the top seed. That's how he's done it so many times in a row. Lesser competition is easier to beat. If you don't believe me look at his win percentage in the playoffs vs the east and vs the west, also vs top 3 seeds vs bottom 3 seeds. Seeding matters because elite teams face mid level teams and when you fall into mid level you have to face more elite. It becomes a grinder instead of a cakewalk.

    One can never undo a surgery, his knee is never going to be the same again, but this will not mean kyrie wil not possibly be one of the greatest off all time. he has grown in life and is making more self aware decisions wich will protect himself. His plant based diet when done educated should heal his surgery wounds better then annything available, removing the wire and screws from his body should make him more durable and keep his body movements fluent. I believe he will get trough this process and nevertheless be great on the court again, even tough his body could have exerted far more and kept up far better with him pre-injury. Set backs like this can realy get to one hope the experience only makes him greater!

    • @natanaelmercado8689
      @natanaelmercado8689 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      maybe over time he wont be as elite but the celtics have such a deep team with great players and scorers that he wont have that pressure to go off and have to carry all the time...like the warriors when healthy for example...celtics will be the east version of goldenstate once tatum and brown take thier game up a noch and they are real close of doing so right now.

    • @shamgod926
      @shamgod926 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      true i see the celtics ceiling even higher then golden states with the current talent on the team realy. but its to bad realy to see a player like kyrie be held back by his body, would have loved to see him compete with the team in this years playoffs they would have a real shot at making the finals with kyrie honestly.

    • @natanaelmercado8689
      @natanaelmercado8689 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      celtics with kyrie had a Good chance of making the finals. (not even mentioning hayward)without him at best depending who they face first two rounds....Milwaukee, sixers ect id take the celtics over those two teams...yes they may have the better younger talent but the celtics have vets, deep bench and an elite coach and ohhh dont forget home court advantage too. If it was lebron home court wouldnt have mattered but for these teams it can be a factor.

    • @shamgod926
      @shamgod926 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i cant say i would see a kyrie-less celtics winning against philadelphia with Ben JJ Covington Saric Embiid even going as deep with having a wild card in fultz coming off the bench where you dont know what he is going to bring in the play offs he has a great scoring ability great handle hesitation very shifty reminds me of donovan mitchell the way he dribbles past the defenders but who knows whats will happen celtics make a tuff matchup with a very talented roster they can start either rozier or smart at pg have tatum at sg where he would be one of the tallest of his position his faders are very kobe-esc he has great potential jaylen brown marcus morris and horford and a great coach should be a great series well see

    • @natanaelmercado8689
      @natanaelmercado8689 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i think they can pull it off because although embiid and simmons might be better and the two best players in that series in order.. the rest of the celtics roster is better than the sixers....and home court/brad stevens...i think its 50/50

    Celtics have a chance with these team healthy next year BUT Colin you’re assuming Lebron is staying with the Cavs or even in the East at all. If Lebron gets an even slightly better supporting cast next year you’re jumping off the bandwagon early because lebron with a raptors level of cast will still beat a fully loaded Celtics. Idc if James will be 34.

    Boston will be a title contender next year IF Kyrie is still Kyrie, but I don't know why you keep writing off Philly. They'll probably be 2nd or 3rd seed by the end of next season.

    • @natanaelmercado8689
      @natanaelmercado8689 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i doubt that they will...to many teams under performed this year like the wiz and bucks. all those teams can be better next year too...plus celts and raptors...so i wouldn't say that is guaranteed. its hard to be consistent in the league. Look at the pacers and bulls for example...when they had PG and Rose...it was only a few years ago they were the future and that quickly changed...injuries can ruin things....celtics tho should be fine because they have a deep talented team with multiple allstar caliber players.

    If lebron goes to the 6ers this off-season then the starting lineup will be
    Joel, Dario, lebron, Simmons and roco/fultz. I guarantee u that Simmons and fultz will work on their shooting a whole lot this offseason. Give me that starting 5 over kyrie brown Hayward Tatum and horford. Colin hates philly it’s so obvious
