Hi Dani! I have been watching your channel for several months now. Thank you so much for the feminine perspective you are bringing to our hobby on TH-cam! Absolutely love your product reviews for that reason. You notice things many disregard as frivolous or not worth mentioning. Thanks for representing!
Tetra and Marineland are owned by same company. It just seems here in the States, the Tetra Canisters aren't sold as much...even online. In our big box stores, its Marineland and Fluval dominated....Online, you could add Eheim to the list.
I have a seven year old Marineland still running great...but couldn't vouch for the newer models.
Look forward to your videos every week. ❤️☺️❤️

In the usa we have tetra, so much tetra. It is the basic staple brand in the hobby. However, they don't do canister filters here. But yes, tetra and marineland are owned by the same parent company, spectrum brands. So that tetra canister is exactly the marineland canister, only with green instead of red accents. Hopefully they roll out the same improvements to the marineland ones here.

Great video Danny. I always thought you were out of the US. You live in Cyprus I bet that is a beautiful area. Thank you for sharing.

After many years membrane of the priming pump broke in my tetra ex 800 and water leaked from that place. Currently I have 3 tetra ex 700 and all of them work great and are absolutely noiseless :) I was also surprised with the flow, it's really good

The filter housing and motor assembly looks exactly like my old SunSun.

I had tetra ex before, excellent filter, good quality, they leak around the hose fix on the head if there is pressure from hose for long time but simple replacement not expensive will sort it out and yes lubricate lubricate lubricate :D

Good video.. I just purchased a Tetra EX 1500 a couple of months ago. I'm thinking that it's better than eheim filters till now.. yes very quiet and massive flow. It's for my 250L so it's a bit of an overkill. But I have loads of live plants so the flow gets dispersed

Tetra and Marineland belog to the same mother company called Spectrum, but they are not the same brand. You can buy a lot of marinelad and tetra products in US. The Tetra ex 700 filter cost around $140 in US.

I have a Tetra hang on the back that has been running for almost 10 years. I would love to upgrade my bigger tank to a canister, but every time I look at the price and end up spending money on other stuff. I should just save up and get one. Wish I could get a Tetra canister here!

High Danni! I live in the US and Marineland is a little higher end, as in its feels more expensive, but the inside is very much the same

Hi, I live in France and there used to be a brand called Eden with decent items, especially filters. Eden was bought by a much bigger company, Oase. All filters were rebranded but aside from making some parts blue instead of grey plastic they remained exactly the same as previously. The only thing which was increased (and quite heavily) was... you guessed it: the price 😉 My guess is you might pay a premium compared to me for Tetra items because it's a German company whereas I will pay more than you for a Sicce item for example.

I have a 128-liter aquarium, and I'm currently looking for a suitable external filter for it! I was considering the Fluval 307, but thanks to the video, I’ll take a look at this Tetra model as well. It seems like a better option, judging by the specifications, doesn’t it?

I have a 112 litre aquarium and I just replaced my aguaclear 50 with an external filter. I also considered buying the fluval 307 but you should keep in mind that the tubes it comes with are not smooth tubes and if you plan to use external heaters or co2 atomizers it can give you problems. In the end I bought the jbl e902 and so far I'm happy. I think they are all good filters and you won't have any problems with any of them.👍

So frustrating to know that you have exactly what you need for a project and not finding it anywhere, especially when you don't have the excuse of just having moved.
