I grew up in extreme poverty when I lived with my meth addicted mother. When I was 9 my mom went to prison and I went to live with my dad and step mom. They were middle class, but I thought they were rich. The firsf fine we went to the grocery store, I thought I had died and gone to heaven when my step mom told me to just put whatever I wanted in the cart! I gained 30 pounds the first year I lived with them.
Because she's shallow rich and spoiled. This little act she put on for the show was cute, but we all know she's going back to her spoiled little rich life, supported by daddy when the show was over. Oh yes, and she's going to be so big to donate those clothes to thrift shops like that's what poor working people really need. Pay her personal servants, a living wage. Then we'll see that she's starting to get real. Help support the local food banks. Then maybe she's starting to have some morals and ethics.
Fun, because she's playing a game and she knows she's going back to her rich b**** life and won't change a thing, I doubt she'll even consider helping charities out. She still didn't get what the family really needed to make ends meet when she sent them gifts.
i had judged maria and watching this has humbled me aswell some rich people just live in a bubble as she said and are not aware of the ”outer world” it was really lovely to watch
The friend at the beginning with the rich girl disgust me because aren't you afraid that your stuff will get stolen is the most idiotic and ironic thing to say but what can you expect from somebody has been handed everything to them
Disagree. People of all incomes steal, including people you invite into your home (babysitters and friends) and co-workers which are the worst thieves!. We've had stuff stolen out of the work refrigerator, stuff stolen out of desks, and even laptops stolen off desktops.
Although I don’t live exactly like Maria, I could probably use a reality check myself. You get used to living a certain way and forget that others don’t live the way you do and actually have it hard.
Sweetie, you have served yourself well. Meantime, you have learned about the very real struggle of most families. I’m proud of your journey and pray that you take this new information and use your money responsibly. Meaning, create well paying, honest paying, jobs for families!
I have a decent career/income, but living “skint” for so long when I lived abroad taught me what was possible. Now I have the money to buy everything new, but enjoy the hunt of thrift stores. Her materialism is such a waste. I love having a good income so I can save for my family’s future and give to those in need though! I think anyone like Maria would be happier in giving more. Having that much money and only buying for yourself can make your life pretty meaningless and depressing.
I think her willingness to experience a less than posh lifestyle is commendable. So much to be learned. Perhaps, in the future she will take her wealth to create good jobs! Hopefully, she will place families before profit. You GO GIRL!
It's easy to be kind, empathetic, and sweet when you're playing a game and you know you're going back to your rich b****, life. Wonder what daddy did in his life and what lives he destroyed, to become filthy rich in russia, to support her like that. If she was really a good person, she wouldn't be taking that money.
Becky’s home is larger and cleaner than some I’ve seen in the US. Based on their income, they’ve truly been doing everything they can to give their children as good a life as possible
It was good for Maria to have the experience but people should not judge her lifestyle. If you can afford that lifestyle that is your world. Money has less meaning about the amount the more you make.
One of my FAVE shows u guys have put on this channel. I think it's quite good because most of these kids, towards the end of the show, they can somewhat understand how hard it can be when you're living on a major budget, etc..
I thought for this girl coming from an elite world she was actually very open minded to learn what other people live like, and respectful to their feelings and honest.
Excellent program and honestly it seems like the rich girl has a good amount of empathy after being met with the reality of their situation. Thank you for covering this important issue and allowing us to see the extremes of the spectrum.
I admire these people tremendously. I thought Dad looked deeply embarrassed at one time. I understand that. Even though he was performing at his best, with his job,the “ Western Culture “ is richer than the Middle Eastern. My husband grew up in Portugal & he had a few negative comments about American Culture. I learned so much from him.
All right, I commented a bit harsh so I deleted that and decided that it’s nice that they try to learn. It’s not really their fault that they grew up like this and their parents kind of failed them for not teaching them how it is to live with less money. It’s nice that she brought chocolate for the little one, very thoughtful.
Re; Maria’s story First and foremost I want to Say Well-done Maria!!’ your gift to this family was the most thoughtful in comparison to the others who went in the homes of poor and struggling families. You gift show you are not selfish and you really want to make a difference in the lives of the people you come across. While the others was just a minimal thank you. 1) I just want to comment on a couple of things. In the beginning of the upload where Maria is going thru the baby’s closet a d her handbags. Maria’s bedroom or her baby’s bedroom, that is all white with the king size bed, possibly hers” or the Nanny to nap with the baby, or if it is her bedroom it is confusing. That bedroom has nothing in it. Is this a fake home where she just brought and put a couple of things in the closets for the show??? If it is a minimalist appearance she is going for, she hit the nail on the head. However, most minimalist do not spend 5k, 14k, and 34k on a handbag. So, Whose plain white bedroom is that? 2) Maria’s comment that the only low income people she knows is her Nanny. I believe that is what she said. Maybe it means something different in Russian. But in English it means someone who babysits. This is not like a teenage babysitter who may watch the baby while the husband and wife go out to dinner or a movie or both for 2-4 total hours on the weekend; one Saturday or Sunday a week. The meaning of a nanny is a full-time position of someone who comes in on a regular schedule from 3 to 7 days a week. Sometimes a couple may need more than one because no one person is going to want to work consistently a scheduled 7 days a week. So, a family with a demanding work or charity schedule may have 2 nannies. 1 for Mon-Fri, and the other on Sat-Sun. Or, 1 Mon-Thur and the other Fri-Sun; or Fri-Sat and they have Sunday as the designated “alone time day; the day the couple spends alone time with their child(ren). Interesting- What I find very telling is when Maria says, she only knows one low income person or family; her Nanny. Then she quickly says, “but I pay her” or something similar. And her facial expression tells it all. In that moment, in real time she is becoming aware that she probably does not pay enough because her nanny is still considered low income. What floors me regarding rich people is in their child’s most formative years, they do not like to pay for their child care. They want to treat and pay their child care staff, like they are teenagers who may spend 2-4 hours one day a week. They like to have bragging rights on how their child care staff has Masters and doctorates in childcare, education sociology; etc, but do not feel that they should have to pay for that criteria yet because the child is not in school. If they cannot show the criteria of the staff openly until the child(ren) can receive certificates and ribbons of good behavior, best penmanship, etc. What they should realize is in these formative years that should want to pay for the best and brightest to bring out the best and brightest attributes in their children starting early on as possible. Might, I add, when Becky and Maria do the comparison of the finances and what they spend, Becky is looking at Maria like she could just rip her head off of her shoulders. You can tell Becky fell like Maria should fell guilty. Fresh vs Frozen veggies. The frozen last longer because no one wants to eat them. When the veggies are fresh they have more of a flavor and people will consume more. These people; both the rich and the poor took time out of their lives for others to come in and judge their lifestyles on both sides. The poor fqmily may recieve a little something for participating in the show, but they are not being paid enough to bare their souls; their lives and children’s lives for millions + of peiple to watch for years to come. These kids can be teased by their peers, past and future friends may sit in judgment of putting their and their children’s business out there. The rich people will look good in the public’s eyes, so they do jot have a high risk of loss by being on this show, but the poor people on the show will have conflicting views put upon them. so they have more of a risk.

I don't care how much money I have, I would never spend 1500 on a 18 month old clothing. My family passed around our kids clothing because they grow too fast. This girl is selfish and out of touch. Her parents didn't teach her to value what she has. Shame on them for that part.
I love these episodes! Tbh i ate healthier when i didnt have much money and for the last 3 years we have been so blessed with good incomes we eat so much junk and I gotta stop that. The only person I make sure has super healthy food is my child. This made me want to budget even though I dont need to. I like saving money for fun
Haha, I'm pretty sure it's not their money in the first place. These episodes are all so scripted and formulaic, they just change out the characters. I image the 50 pounds is part of the production budget.
They're not going to steal because they don't have as much money as her! "My maid and nanny are the only low income people I know.. because of what I pay them" hopefully after this she will see what value they add to her life and pay them better!
Her friend worried that they will just steal her stuff is the most ignorant comment I have heard on this show. That and the fact that they thought there would be a cleaner once a week.
"I'm going to be more responsible with my money..." And in nearly the same breath, she notes that she needs a massage and facial tomorrow 🤦 She seemed pretty humble otherwise though. Good episode.
Her friend assuming that just because they are less fortunate than them that they are going to steal. Her friend also needs a reality check.

Who doesn’t know about donating your used items? That’s ridiculous!
You gotta admit that the rich girl is very respectful, a reflection of her parents.
Of course they'll want to present themselves as positively as they can...

She is rich and sweet and humble. She had no concept of money before so she can’t even be blamed. I think it’s wonderful and shows her true good character that she wanted to do something like this. Many blessings to all of them
Maria seemed considerate of the family’s feelings, it’s admirable she’s trying to make a positive impact.
Maria is very sweet and understanding she seems to be grateful for the things she has!!!😊 It was superrr nice of her to buy the couple a flight ticket To Tusnia!!!❤️❤️❤️
What a sweet woman she helped out the family with plane tickets thats Amazing ❤❤❤ i loved the family too they are so sweet ❤
Agreed! However, they need to practice birth control!
@@mobutter2879Two children in 2.5 years.
One of my favorite episodes. Both the family and the guest.
even if i could buy designer clothes and everything brand new for my kids I think they are better off not getting absolutely everything they want. It's healthy for them to experience having to work for some things and to not take things for granted. a good example my parents did with me is having me save up and pay half for things (like a laptop when i was 18) and they offered to pay the other half. i still want to "spoil" them, but in a way they appreciate it and don't feel entitled to it
The friend thinking the poor family will steal her stuff 😮
She's not even wrong for that one lol
That means they don’t look to price tag means they don’t care whatever price is it they will buy it
I love that all these British reality/doco type shows like supersized vs superskinny they all talk in whispers and seem to be very respectful to eachother its so cute
This is really sad. It’s wild that there are people who spend on one outfit or one vacation more than I make in a year.
It is. But I have to say she was really nice and learned a lot during her time there. It’s so nice that she paid for their trip to see his family. I know it’s not a lot of money for her but she absolutely didn’t have to do it. She tried her best helping out and tried her best not spending their money on ridiculous things
Maria, hope you will read the comments and see how you won everybody's heart. You are a pride to your parents. So nice!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Maria is very kind and gentle, specially with the kids ❤
Sign of great person ❤very thoughtful presents too
My question is...why are her nanny's and cleaners on low incomes? Why on earth if she has so much money is she not paying them well?
Most cleaners and nannies are on low income, unless you get them from a high-end agency. She is paying market rate.
To be fair, seeing what Maria spends, what she calls low income could be very livable
No wonder why people can't survive over there they aren't getting paid enough to feed their own families that crazy
Not the tap water comment💀
Lmaooo😂😂😂
I think I drank tap water in Britain - it didn't make me ill.
Tell her to come to Flint, Michigan.
Im biting the hell out of my tongue right now...wouldn't want youtube to tell me I'm bullying. Oh the horror.
Is it the lipstick? Bc i would agree but Maria is the victim of insta. Its good to see so many girls dissolving their fillers these days
Her always saying “this is so much fun” warms my heart
Fun, because she's playing a game and she knows she's going back to her rich b**** life and won't change a thing, I doubt she'll even consider helping charities out. She still didn't get what the family really needed to make ends meet when she sent them gifts.
i had judged maria and watching this has humbled me aswell some rich people just live in a bubble as she said and are not aware of the ”outer world” it was really lovely to watch
Every rich person should go thru this. It a great lesson about how the real world is.
@@defynedI think OP's point was that the rich steal the monetary value created by the working class.
I'm convinced that the UK has th best reality shows.
I don't understand the lip filler. She appears to have a lot of natural beauty. Not sure what possessed her to do that.
i think they compliment her face nicely
They look like an an*s hole😂
I don’t get it either. Maybe insecurities.
Her lips fit her face perfectly.
Maria is stunning and beautiful! I really love her style 🤍🌺⭐️🙌🏽
I think her willingness to experience a less than posh lifestyle is commendable. So much to be learned. Perhaps, in the future she will take her wealth to create good jobs! Hopefully, she will place families before profit. You GO GIRL!
I like Maria . She’s really chill af . She got that down for WATEVER vibe
If every rich person was as sweet and empathetic as her the world would be an entirely different place. ❤
Maria seemed like she got a good reality check and learned something from this experience
Becky learned that the other family was surviving but in some areas, thriving, whereas her child will not if they are spoiled, and so on.
Becky’s home is larger and cleaner than some I’ve seen in the US. Based on their income, they’ve truly been doing everything they can to give their children as good a life as possible
I really hope she keeps in touch & maybe helps them out more! 🥰
At the beginning she felt kinda bad telling them how much she spends, but she was a really nice girl and was generous with the gift she gave them
It was good for Maria to have the experience but people should not judge her lifestyle.
Perfect! I’m from the states.. yet still felt this to my core! ❤❤❤
Often simple food is the best. The shakshouka looked tasty.
Lovely two ladies, a good dad, and well-behaved children.
Maria is a sweetheart, I enjoyed this video
Maria understands the basics of family is everything
Maria is a credit to her family. I grew up in Ireland - poor. Due to my businesses, I am far from that now but, I would never dream of judging anyone.
I really loved this video. Wish them all the best in the future!
She has to do everything because she is a mother.
All right, I commented a bit harsh so I deleted that and decided that it’s nice that they try to learn. It’s not really their fault that they grew up like this and their parents kind of failed them for not teaching them how it is to live with less money. It’s nice that she brought chocolate for the little one, very thoughtful.
That was such a sweet thing she did at the end sending them on holiday to see family 😊
Maria is so kind, has a good heart, and so generous. She will be more blessed.
Re; Maria’s story
First and foremost I want to Say Well-done Maria!!’ your gift to this family was the most thoughtful in comparison to the others who went in the homes of poor and struggling families. You gift show you are not selfish and you really want to make a difference in the lives of the people you come across. While the others was just a minimal thank you.
1) I just want to comment on a couple of things. In the beginning of the upload where Maria is going thru the baby’s closet a d her handbags. Maria’s bedroom or her baby’s bedroom,
that is all white with the king size bed, possibly hers” or the Nanny to nap with the baby, or if it is her bedroom it is
confusing.
That bedroom has nothing in it. Is this a fake home where she just brought and put a couple
of things in the closets for the show???
If it is a minimalist appearance she is going for, she hit the nail on the head.
However, most minimalist do not spend 5k, 14k, and 34k on a handbag.
So, Whose plain white bedroom is that?
2) Maria’s comment that the only low income people she knows is her
Nanny. I believe that is what she said. Maybe it means something different in Russian. But in English it means someone who babysits. This is not like a teenage babysitter who may watch the baby while the husband and wife
go out to dinner or a movie or both for 2-4 total hours on the weekend; one Saturday or Sunday a week.
The meaning of a nanny is a full-time position of someone who comes in on a regular schedule from 3 to 7 days a week. Sometimes a couple
may need more than one because no one person
is going to want to work consistently a scheduled 7 days a week.
Interesting-
What I find very telling is when Maria says, she only knows one low income person or family; her Nanny. Then she quickly says, “but I pay her” or something similar. And her facial expression tells it all. In that moment, in real time she is becoming aware that
she probably does not pay enough because her nanny is still
considered low income.
What floors me regarding rich people is in their
child’s most formative years, they do not like to pay for their child
care. They want to treat and pay their child care staff, like they are teenagers who
may spend 2-4 hours one day a week.
They like to have bragging rights on how their child care staff has Masters and doctorates in childcare, education sociology; etc, but do not feel that they should have to pay for that
criteria yet because the child is not in school. If they cannot show the criteria of the staff openly until the child(ren) can receive certificates and ribbons of good behavior, best penmanship, etc.
What they should realize is in these formative years that should want to pay for the best and brightest to bring out the best and brightest attributes in their children
starting early on as possible.
When the veggies are fresh they have more of a flavor and people will
consume more.
Maria ... You Are Rich @ Heart ... A Humbling Experience Gave You The Gift Of Newfound Friendship & An Eye Opening Respect For Human Kindness ... Love & Prayers To Both Families. ..❤ Much Respect ❤😁🙏💯🙌
She is affraid that "poor" family will steal her clothes???Jesus....where are they coming from???Low income sounds "dirty"??Maria is wearing boots in her house, this is dirt, she has maids and nanny to take care of her and her daughter.Let's remove all her money and helpers, she will not survive at all.
The money she throws away is obnoxious especially $1500.00 dress for 8 months old daughter
Her daughter will volit or mee on her expensive clothes but who cares, nanny will do the dirty joband cleaners
It's her money to do as she pleases.
@@farzana6676it is obscene to spend that much money on baby clothes or a handbag instead of helping others.
@Celisar1 Lmao. No it isn't obscene.
It is obscene to expect rich people to spend their money on you.

Sell that Loro Piana sweater online girl ! You’ll get a few hundred dollars for it 💰
Nah enjoy it for life. Little bit of luxury never hurt anyone. Lovely sweater for some fine event that she’ll be invited to in the near future
Crazy that they look at staying with a poor family as an ‘adventure’. She can go back to her riches anytime, but this family cannot.
Experiencing any culture that different from yours or way of living is a bit of an adventure. She was mostly respectful.
Yep, it was just a game to her.
I actually like Maria in that environment, now if Maria met the family in her own environment, she may not be so kind...
Im not rich but watching this also humbles me.
I was really proud of Maria. She is very open and lovely.
Wow Maria was just so open and present. She understood why she needed to do this and the way she thanked them too, so thoughtful.
Do the families get their money back to buy actual food for the week?
Haha, I'm pretty sure it's not their money in the first place. These episodes are all so scripted and formulaic, they just change out the characters. I image the 50 pounds is part of the production budget.
This husband needs a full time job
Maria became more and more sympathic she has a good heart.
They're not going to steal because they don't have as much money as her! "My maid and nanny are the only low income people I know.. because of what I pay them" hopefully after this she will see what value they add to her life and pay them better!
Maria is gorgeous and also very thoughtful.
Her friend worried that they will just steal her stuff is the most ignorant comment I have heard on this show. That and the fact that they thought there would be a cleaner once a week.
TLDW (To long didn't watch) every other person in her life is working for her. She is nobody without them, she is nothing without them.
Wow! She is very respectfully humble.
"I'm going to be more responsible with my money..." And in nearly the same breath, she notes that she needs a massage and facial tomorrow 🤦
She seemed pretty humble otherwise though. Good episode.
