    The way you load your clubs drives me crazy. Lol Sweet bag though. I bought the red ‘Sonoma’ bag on sale yesterday. I can’t wait to get it.

      So...I just watched a video on how to properly set up your clubs in a golf bag and I see what you mean. I am doing it exactly opposite of what is recommended. But, when I am in a cart the longer clubs are in the back and the shorter clubs are up front. It seems like it would be more difficult to reach wedgers if the woods are in front of them. Same with walking. As the bag is set down it looks like the wedges would be hidden under the long irons and woods. I am going to try it the right way and see how it feels.

      Keeping the longer clubs in the lower slot equals your irons banging the crap out of your driver/composite shafts while walking. Not good.

      Ah. Ok that makes sense. I mostly ride now as well old age takes hold but I will change them next time I walk around

    Been a Jones fan since High school in the 90s had a vinyl original, now i have a red nylon original, and blue players series. I have a Stitch SL1 and Ping Hoofer. The Ping is a good bag but the Jones Utility R is a great bag. Love the straps and size. Has more support in a travel bag. Looking at picking one up in black. Good review and I second their fantastic customer service. It’s great to support a small business that makes fantastic products.

    I have no idea why I was watching a review of a bag I already own, but I had no idea there was an umbrella holder behind the big pocket either!
    My only compaints are:
    The cooler pocket location is in the only spot really easy to access when using a cart or push cart, it's sometimes annoying getting into other pockets mid round unless I'm carrying
    It doesnt have a ton of space. I have midsized grips and they get stuck a lot and I dont have a ton of room for extras like an orange whip
    Besides that it's been pretty great

    • @youtater
      @youtater  ปีที่แล้ว

      Right!?! I literally found it while I was recording the video!
      And where do you keep your golf balls? I don't hit the ball as far as I used to so I don't lose as many as I once did so I am not reaching into the bag as much. But having them in the side pocket (almost behind the cooler bag) is not the easiest access.

  • @zoldxzimmer
    @zoldxzimmer ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I've never wished I had a giant cooler pocket in lieu of a ball storage, thats my only hesitation with this bag. I enjoy my cold beverages, but getting cold beverages or keeping them cold has never been a pain point. Otherwise, cool looking bag for sure.

    • @youtater
      @youtater  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and it does take up a lot of prime real estate. It's funny though - while I have no problem dropping a ton of money on playing golf, traveling to play golf or on equipment, it very much bothers me to over pay for Gatorade. we all have our tics, right? So this pocket will hold two large Gatorade's plus a small ice pack. That all being said it is a nice big pocket so you could certainly use it for something else. If I am being honest I do fell like maybe that's where the golf balls should go!

      I agree, do I want a huge cooler pocket in the space where I would most access balls and tees? The answer is no. Back to Ogio

    The paint on the stand legs will scratch off, showing the white fiberglass leg.
    After contacting Jones Bag Company and providing several photos of the damage, it was determined by their team that it was normal wear and tear. It had only been on a cart for 4 rounds.
    I'm not sure if I will continue to use the bag or ship it back. One thing that is certain is that I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM JONES GOLF BAG.

    Mine arrived today. Quality looks good, but already questioning the practicality of the shoulder straps. They aren't attached to each other in an X pattern, so my initial thought is that they will be unwieldy at best and annoying at worst. Already considering placement straps.

    • @youtater
      @youtater  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah they are a little odd. Once on they are great. There is a video on Jones' website on how to attach them but nothing on how to use them. They work with either strap on either shoulder. I've seen others with them on both ways. I find them comfortable to carry but kinda strange and awkward to get on. Let me know what you think.

      I know...I know. I have had a lot of response about this and have started to pay attention to how others load their bag. It seems in what I have observed its about 50/50. I do it this way as I mostly ride in a cart, so the organization makes sense to have shorter clubs in the front. and while I am not trying to start a war here, I am curious why it's so much better to do it the other way. I am truly interested if I am really doing this ALL wrong or is it kind of a red wine thing - I mean I typically do not recommend red wine with fish - but if that's what you like - do you! Let me know and thanks!!!

    Great review!! The bag looks amazing, but I noticed that there isn’t a hip pad. Does this create an issue when walking and caring the bag?
    Also, I wish they made the kickstand mechanism part of the bag internal. I’ve seen some photos of this bag online where it’s hidden, so it’s confusing!

    • @youtater
      @youtater  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a hip pad though it is not as thick as some others I have seen. I am not at home or I'd snap pics for you. The straps are different than other bags I've had and at first I was a little confused but now love them. I have walked rounds with this bag and have found it to be really comfortable.

    Thanks for the informative video, do you think the Moon Gray color will get dirty based on your time with the bag? Debating between this and the darker Charcoal color. Thank you!

    • @youtater

      So far it has not. I use the bag 5 days a week. It lives in my car with tools and my kids stuff coming in and out daily. I have never even pretended to clean it. It still looks REALLY good. That being said, you are definitely hedging your bets with the darker color.

    I noticed the box says "Made in Vietnam." I thought Jones makes their bags in the U.S.A.?

      SO far it looks great. I have never wiped it down and there really has not been any wear. I am as surprised as anyone else. It's in and out of my car. The kids through things on top of it. It still loos amazing. The real test will be the A2 backpack I got. It's cream and I abuse these pretty well. That being said it's a great backpack. I have a review of that as well! Does it also work mounting it on a cart? Sometimes these bags will deploy the legs when its mounted on a cart which makes it harder to get it to fit right.

    • @youtater

      Yes it does! It has two large loops on either side that hold the bag on the cart really well!

      @@markcook9084 Not yet. Honestly lately I have been riding more than walking but I still prefer this bag over a cart bag. It's funny though because now I am constantly questioning how I put my clubs in the bag. Played yesterday with my brother in law and he organizes the same way I do. But EVERY video I watch tells me I am doing it wrong. I think I may have to do a video on putting clubs in the bag and then let the fireworks ensue!!! Thanks a bunch for subscribing!

    Your graphite shafts must take a beating at the bottom like that.

    • @youtater
      @youtater  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Is that why everyone puts the clubs in the other way? I looked on line and rally didn't find a great answer. Yours makes sense. To be honest I ride most of the time. I have some shoulder stuff that's been going on for a while now so I cannot walk as much as I like. But the fact that so many folks stack their clubs in the opposite direction has been bugging me so thanks for letting me know!
