Honestly love this thing! When I bought it, I quickly changed my approach to reverb. Cloud and Bloom are my go-to settings when I'm playing guitar, if I'm using a synth Shimmer is the one! It can make pad sounds on your synth take on a whole new life!
I'm using an Ibanez art320 with stock pickups

After buying and selling many different reverbs and watching this beautiful video nearly 57.557 times I decided to finally get myself a big sky...best decision ever...thank you Ryan!

This video is what caused me to buy the Big Sky. Got it about a week ago and am beyond pleased with it!

The Cloud mode is something special.
This is a great demonstration, but the BEST part is the card on bottom left that explains, simply, what specific things do. VERY well done.
The first of these I clicked on I was dead certain I wasn't going to purchase one, but you've made it SO beautiful that I'm reconsidering a few things...
Beautiful. Nice to see/hear I am not the only guy out there who almost always prefers DI with pedals/pedal rig experimentation and studio work. It is easy to turn off everything else and just let this thing take over. Maybe the most beautiful piece of gear I have ever purchased.
Amazing Ryan!! I would buy this song if you released and out it on repeat to help me sleep. I play ambient bass, I’m receiving the Immerse this afternoon, but I’m also purchasing Big Sky later in December.

i know man im waiting for the Fed Ex Guy to deliver mine an should have it 2maro but this pedal an all the other pedals that Stymon An EvenTide make are great an alittle $ but worth it if u want to explore an really come up with some cool parts for your songs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is so calming
... a very beautiful pedal, probably the best reverb pedal together with the reverb pedal from Eventide ... I have Boss RV-6 and it is also a very beautiful pedal ... but this one is more complex and with more , more possibilities ...
I haven't tried the Eventide yet! but I really want too.. hopefully soon :)

Are you using the strymon big sky's cab filter here? or just plain direct? Awesome playing .. i got this pedal recently... just waiting for it to arrive :)
I actually think the cab filter wasn't on for the video.. its been a long time since I recorded this so I can't quite remember.. I'm just going by how the tone sounds similar to my other videos :) hope you enjoy the pedal!
hey ryan, this just blows me away, I have this pedal but haven't played or experimented with the knobs much, are you using an expression pedal with this and if so can you recommend one
+rctrance thank you! glad you like it! im not using an expression pedal on this video.. i havent actually tried the big sky the an expression much.. but im sure you could make some crazy sounds :) the expression pedal i use is the roland rv-5 :)

Ok, just saw the mxr rev. at guitar center and looking for youtube vids, I watched all of your demos. This by far blows all out of proportion it's ridiculous. Unfortunately I can't fit it on my board. I'm stuck between Boss and mxr.
Adolfo Colindres if you haven't bought a reverb pedal yet, check out the Meris Mercury 7. Incredible pedal. I also love the Big Sky.

Turn the mix all the way right. All the way left is mostly dry all the way right mostly reverb
