Any chance of a remote control, so the user isn't standing inline or close vicinity of the wire reel possibly in harms way of loose or stray broken rusted wires? Just a thought. Otherwise good job.
We considered variable start up speed in depth, the main issues were the huge increase on cost, supply difficulties, and complexity. That's why we ended up going with a clutch system as an alternative. The eWinder doesn't need an emergency stop button because both switches are dead man switches, which means as soon as they're released, power is shut off. Both very good points though!
Looks like an awesome job done by all Tou remembered the kiss idea
Keep
It
Simple
and
Short
Again job well done

We did look into a remote control, however cost and some other factors limited that path!
Great product. Did you consider variable speed start up or a large emergency stop button?
