Tutorial - 'Outrageous bombhead' - combat initiation

oddly enough (most likley due to a glitch) using 'knightmare' and 'knight helmet' will allow you to survive the explosion by caping it to 50 dmg, after putting random hats on it seemed to fix this.
i dont think ive missed anything this time, though if i did comment it!

today were gonna be talking about the outrageous bombhead, this thing is usually pretty dangerous but normally ends up killing enemys for you with ease similar to real nukes... i guess it wasnt so tactical after all...

Oddly enough, using the Knightmare hat and having a source to reduce incoming damage will cause the explosion to only deal 50 damage
For example, Knightmare + knight Helmet

Ok, I did my fair amount of testing and found interesting results (boring yet useful information below)
The game considers any damage that deals 9999 as 'instakill damage', this means that any accessories or characters with a set threshold of max damage to be taken is ignored. So that's why the Outrageous Bombhead still outright kills you with its explosion damage instead of setting it to 50, unless, you have _any source_ to reduce sporadically its inflicted damage. The Outrageous Bombhead deals around 10230 damage, so if you have any buffs _to reduce that amount for roughly 3%_ is no longer considered as instakill damage .
Additionally (unless scripted) any attack that deals more than 9999 damage is instead capped to that specific amount. This does NOT apply to attacks that deal a percentage of the entity total health. For example, the Drakobloxxer when any of its attacks are parried takes 13% of its total health as damage (interestingly enough, that can be amplified with damage bonuses and reduced as well).
Also Knightmare hat current description is misleading. It is supposed to reduce damage by 40% but its actually 30%

i think you may have missed a key function
warhead here has a secret ability, I don't know if it's true, but.. If the player is about lower than 75 or 50 HP, warhead can fasten up the detonation process when activated by that 75-50 HP person, and i think if your like really low and you were to activate it, it's an instant detonation.
this may be fake but.. I dunno I just heard it from someone

it seems to take slightly less damage from subspace tripmines, maybe that’s part of the metallic trait?
also, warhead normally does 9999 damage to players, and 15k to players under the effects of hotsauce
