Wow! Thank you for this video. I grew up in the Catskills. Our history teachers never told us about this famous cemetery with a rich history. I can’t believe what we didn’t learn thank you so much.

I loved everything about Forest Lawn, but didn’t leave nearly enough time to check everything I wanted to see out. Maybe I’ll have to do a revisit / part 2. I remember when Lt. Lehner lost his life; it was very sad and tragic. I’m planning on returning to Forest Lawn in the spring as there were some sites I wanted to visit and didn’t have the time. I’ll be sure to stop and pay my respects to him.

Your Buffalo NY has those old world gothic variety of headstones. For the most part they lie flat at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills. But we certainly have our grand tombs. FL, wherever, is so beautiful and serene with it's reproductions of famous churches and art works. To spend some time walking about is to be taken to a completely different place in your mind. Sobering. You will never be quite the same person again until 20 minutes later when you are thrown back into the rat race of life! Good luck!

We went there is 2017 and drove around to look while on vacation and had to use google maps to get out! Its huge.

I was there at Forest Lawn Cemetary to pay my respects t Kristen Pfaff bassist for Hole and Janitor Joe drove from Cincinnati to see her grave..

From what I see this Forest Lawn in the East looks a bit different from the ones we have in California...

my grandma should be buried in that grave yard she died dec 30, 2003, she was shipped from houston texas and buried in buffalo ny
