The shells on the coast are cause by coral reel. That part of land was once under the sea, where natural coral was form. Due to receding sea water the the Carol became exposed to the natural environment and died and now calcified with the dirt and sand. What is now revealed due to soil erosion is the dead coral reef. I hope that explains the appearance of the shells on the hill side.

When the tide is high and it comes inland it leaves deposits from the sea including the shells on that dirt structure and it becomes hardened. Ironically that mountain is a very rich soil that is used to build what's called mud/earth rammed homes ( eco-friendly and self-sustainable structures- Google it) I know because I am moving to Ghana to build one with that very same type of dirt. what happens is overtime, it gets "CURED " becomes compacted with the water and the sun it gets dry and becomes like a stone. The white markings that you see on that mountain is different levels of when it gets impacted but that is natural earth that is used to build homes in many parts of the world. The great wall of China, Egyptian pyramids are built from that type of dirt. Palaces and castles in Europe are built from mud/earth. Just FYI

The shells your looking at ,at some point it was a part of the see bottom the lines are showing over time the sea has diminish and expose the rocks with the shell which were on the bottom of the ocean so that's where the shell comes from seabed

Junior look up Coquina. It’s a type of sedimentary rock usually with shells and mollusks. That type of rock is formed in layers close to the surface of the earth. It is subject to folding too but it’s usually a young type of rock - granted young is relative.
