The very iconic Roman bridge, really built by the Romans WAY BACK THEN, culminates 17 meters above the river. The fall is unforgettable. Make sure you know your way around and in deep waters before jumping.
Indeed, its quite dangerous to jump from the bridge. In general, this place has many risks for people who come for swimming. The bridge dates back to the 17th century and was rebuilt in the 2nd half of the 20th century.
I really wanna visit this place. I'll be in Milan in March and I'm planning to go to Lugano and then to Lavertezzo (same day, I know it's crazy but I wanna try it lol). Is it easy to find buses or trains that go from Lugano to Lavertezzo? Should I get tickets in advance?
Hi. Happy to hear you will be visiting Switzerland. In March the days are still not that long. Sunlight in Lavertezzo will be only until roughly 3pm. It will be really ambitious as with public transportation from Lugano, it might take you roughly 90 minutes. You do not need to buy tickets in advance but check the schedule on sbb.ch - I think you might loose most of your time just for traveling from A to B. Why not go instead to Monte San Salvatore or Monte Brè? They are just nearby, even Morcote is much nearer to Lugano.

Dear sir Why do we not find locals moving around in swiss villages??? Everywhere you see roads are empty. Its the same story with towns to the south of france.
Hi. I usually try to show places either full or empty. I don't like 2-3 people walking into the image, unless there are many I am fine with it. Indeed, in Lavertezzo there are barely any people who explore the village. However, there are numerous of tourists around the bridge and the rocks. Mostly during sunny days, the place is very packed.
Hi. Not true at all😉 This valley has been crowded since the 1990s. My video with 50k views hardly caused overtourism. James Bond Goldeneye im 1994 as well as the campaigns of the Swiss tourism board reached several hundreds of million people. My video hardly changes anythg. Greetings from Switzerland🇨🇭
You should take responsibility for this beautiful valley and NOT tell people to come by car. Each summer the valley suffers a lot by too many cars, noise, pollution, and aggressive behaviour of motorists. There's only 1500 parking lots in the whole valley, against sometimes up to 5000 cars trying to find a spot around the most famous attractions.
As you heard in the video, I also mentioned public transportation. Furthermore, I do not encourage anyone to be driving aggressively. Regarding the parking lots there is the usual rule: "es hät solangs hät". Furthermore, the police is distributing a lot of fines, which probably is the most efficient way to regulate. Majority of the visitors are by the way from the Swissgerman part and the Verzasca valley has been crowded since I was a child. It was not really better during July/August back then.
@@DjemoGraphic I agree with that you're saying. You just made it look like it was very hard or complicated to get there by public transportation, which is certainly not true, especially if you spend several days in the region.

Haha. Napoleon complained the Swiss are hard to be controlled. He realized that and left. But Napoleons time in Switzerland had also a few good things, he offered Ticino a referendum to stay in Switzerland, which was confirmed. Napoleon the 3rd mostly lived in Schloss Arenenberg in Thurgau. He knew why it was nice to stay there. His wife Eugenie gave the castle as a gift to the canton Thurgau to make it a museum.
