Note that it calls for 3 strands of DMC floss and I wasn't going to do that at first then I thought no I should follow directions. Well I'm glad I did as it makes the stitching more three dimensional. I love it. Do give it a try!

So much luscious goodness in your video!!! Your Hoity Toity is so gorgeous; it makes me want to get mine out and work on it. I am also stitching it with the DMC and I love it. As for the Weeping Willow pattern, be sure to read the instructions on it. I have wanted to stitch it for quite some time but hesitated as the little side building uses an offset cross stitch and the pattern seemed a little hard to read since it is older. I may be thinking of another pattern but I really think this is the one. Let me know what you think of it. Your finishes are so pretty - great job!! Wow! I was shocked to see your European Reproduction Sampler with the Berlin Woolwork patterns! I've done a reproduction Berlin piece originally from the Smithsonian but it was done in wool using tent stitch (needlepoint). So I take it you are using embroidery floss or silk?

Hi Lisa, 3 months of rain wouldn't be my fave, but if you need it, you need it!! Could you please tell me where you buy your sawdust. From a sawmill or a more refind sawdust from a craft store? Walnut shells are a tad pricey, so I thought I'd use sawdust. Love your work and thanks for sharing and hugs from Canada.

I had to run and look at that pattern. You are right, there's an offset which will definitely result in a cheat. The pattern is a little tiny too.

It's from our property up north. Ive heard people buy it from cabinet makers. You could even try home improvement stores.
