The extraordinary Yma Sumac sings Mozart's Queen of the Night aria in her own style and then a never before sung rendition of Debussy's Clair de Lune. indeed she had an extremely versatile voice often she seemed to sound like like a theramin, its almost unbelievable the control she had over low as well as the high pitches

She was alto, but with a huge range and she could sing the bass notes of a baritone until high notes of sopranos. In ópera they call contralto virago.

Inspiradora, una latina imponiendose en Estados Unidos en una epoca donde la discriminacion y la xenofobia eran tan grande. Mis respetos y adoracion hasta el cielo Yma, dejaste una huella inborrable.

No la comparen con Dimash, ese chico es extraordinario con el falsete incluso podría ser el nuevo rey del falsete, Dimash no es tenor y para encontrar un reemplazo a Ima Sumac para empezar tiene que ser mujer y estar por encima del soprano y con todo el talento de la Diva.
No tenemos idea de quién es Dimash. Nadie debería comparar a nadie con Yma Sumac, especialmente un hombre. Sin embargo, la Diva dio muchos conciertos en Kazajstán y fue adorada en Rusia. Esa es la única comparación.

Admiré y admiro mucho a esta gran soprano de coloratura. Ella fue amiga de mi madre Blanca Ygreda de Blanco cuando eran muy jovenes y cuando recien Yma estaba empezando a cantar. Luego ella se casó con Alejandro Vivanco y empezó a triunfar en todo el mundo. Ella llegaba a los agudos mas altos que todas las demas sopranos del mundo, una gran voz y una gran belleza, siempre la escucho, Es la mejor soprano a nivel mundial

He escuchado la Reina de la noche en otras cantantes de ópera, pero nadie llegaba con suma facilidad a estos agudos y sin esfuerzo. Por eso Yma Sumac es la mejor por encima de Dimash.
Como puedes compararlos? Son personas distintas (hombre y mujer) con un pasado distinto y de distintas generaciones. Yo admiro y disfruto de los dos, no tengo necesidad de comparar, no me gusta cuando alguien menosprecia a Yma Sumac para ensalzar a Dimash o cuando alguien menosprecia a Dimash para alabar a Yma Sumac. Sin embargo es tu opinión y la respeto pero creo que para alabar a alguien no hay necesidad de mencionar a nadie mas

Doña Pelos bueno, pero técnicamente no hay comparación entre Dimash y Yma, en rango vocal le gana Yma B1-C#8(y puede que tenga notas más agudas pero por ahora la más aguda que he encontrado es c#8 en K'arawi segundo 0:26),y Dimash D2-D8, pero en proyección, técnica, conexión de los registros vocales Yma es más avanzada por lejos

¡Tienes razón! En concierto cantó en español, italiano, inglés, quechua y ruso. Pero ella siempre le dio a cada canción "el incomparable toque Yma Sumac" sin importar el idioma. ¡Notarás que en Clair de Lune ella canta en ningún idioma! Es bueno saber de ti.
