- There's another "Despicable Me" movie whether you want it or not. "Despicable Me 4" is especially scattered: It's got about eight plots, yet feels like it's about nothing at all. Still, if you like Minions and air conditioning, that may be enough. This time, Gru (Steve Carell), Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and their kids get put in a witness protection program when they run afoul of a supervillain who's half man, half cockroach (Will Ferrell). Directed by Chris Renaud, written by Ken Daurio and Mike White. Featuring the voices of Sofia Vergara, Joey King, Stephen Colbert and Steve Coogan. In theaters now.

Robot Dreams is heartwarming and enjoyable for all ages. So compelling.
Not very nutritious but kids love chicken nuggets, minions are basically the cinematic equivalent.
I have enjoyed this franchise in the past, but in this one it felt like they were more interested in doing a bunch of minion shorts and threw in a thin storyline for Gru to make it a feature length movie. I didn’t hate it, but I instantly forgot about it. Kids will love though, and I guess thats what matters. Great review!

A bizarre series. The little girls introduced in the first film are still that same age in the fourth film. It's like the baby dinosaurs in the Land Before Times films who after 8 films are still baby dinosaurs.
You guys, you're six months early for being the Grinch.
Finally decided to see this just because. And I walk out thinking exactly the same things that Christy starts with! Too much and yet nothing. And it was me and two other people. When I saw Mike White's name in the credits I just assumed it was another guy with the same name. So many stars doing those voices and other than Sofia I'd be hard pressed to ID any of them.
I'm not sure if I was lucky to have no kids in my screening or whether it might've helped figure out what was supposed to be funny.
I don't know why, but I really gravitate to the minions movies, it just really reminds me of just punk rock filmmaking about not giving to f's about any given plot, just utter mayhem and chaos, I dont know

This is where I enjoy not being a "see-everything" critic.
Alonzo and Christy look broken by this movie. Once the franchise was token over by the minions and gru got soft the movies lost their charm
I did not plan on seeing this, but I don’t think it is terrible. I don’t think I saw Despicable Me 3 or any of the Minions movies. There is action and silly humor.
I rather see this than the Super Mario movie. But with movies like Inside Out, these are polar opposite movies.
I don't expect this one to make a billion....not even close

Me and my best friend are huge fans of the Minions even though I'd say the first two Despicable Me are the only really good films in the series. Definitely gonna see this but I don't expect it to get much more than visual gags.

Pretty predictable review, I saw the first one and pretty much had the same reaction.....meh.
The first one was cute. The second one was very cute All the others are 100% forgettable. Enough. IS. ENOUGH.
