It's like all your Christmas years all rolled into one day with all those classic beauties. I so love the old washing machine with the wringer on top, reminds me of the one my mum had when I was little in the 70's.
That is an amazing find! It's certainly great to see some of that history saved from the scrapper/crusher. Good luck with the restoration of all those sets!
that was a fun trip. funny seeing that Philco roundie out in the rain. I just tried it out the other day and is working fine, but the cab was completely gone, so may end up trying to make a new one using the old as a pattern.
Yeah, it's too bad these places are dying. There used to be a TV repair shop in my area that had been there since the 50s. I went there last summer to see if he had some belts to sell me, and was surprised that they had closed just a couple weeks ago. Even though their show room was always small, they did have a huge back room with all types of parts. The owner was moving to Florida to retire and the son had no interested with any of that stuff, not to mention it wasn't worth it to sell it as a repair shop. I heard his stuff was sold in a 2 week yard sale very cheap. Oh I wish I had known about it. Oh well.. times change I guess. I enjoyed watching your video, it was fun to see it. See ya -- Atco
I bought a 1959 Zenith console stereo and a 1970's RCA console stereo. The radio works in the Zenith after the tubes warm up,but the phono doesn't. The phono works in the RCA but the radio doesn't. Wish you lived in Texas so you could work on them lol.
Man miss my old Tv i use own. It had a wooded furniture look miss those alot i could get another old tv anyway because i have old game systems like ps2 and N64 may get a NES
did you get all that stuff or did you just take parts from the sets and take what you needed from them and trash the rest you really looked like a big kid in a candy store and i was wondering if you took any console stereos if they had any
I'd say those trips we made were the highlight of my collecting career.
radiotvphononut Wow, you're lucky to have been a part of that! I'd give my left kidney to be able to find a "collector heaven" like this!
Looks like lots of fun, Car guys call it the "Barn Find" ...the once in a lifetime score, a collectors dream.

These are great videos, Shango. Can't believe I missed this one.
Most people wouldn't recognize the gent at 8:06 but I do. He is another well known TH-cam repair person in the
likes of Shango.
