I like this video. It is helpful to me because the camera angle clearly shows the fingering (which is a challenge at my level). You are very gifted. Lovely vibrato.
I'm playing this for an exam and i have to say that this is absolutely beautiful! I love your use of the third finger and your phrasing is amazing, especially when you're in higher positions, even when you dont need to be! You're playing is fantastic and aspire to reach your level one day!
I was debating which piece I should do for contest. This or the Glinka Sonata, my ego told me Glinka because it was fast and would impress people. But after listening to your amazing and beautiful interpretation and performance, I decided that you don’t need to play something fast to impress everyone. Lento with a mix of expression and beautiful interpretation and vibrato will be even better. I’m definitely doing this thanks to you.
Hi DaVon! I think the goal is to always anchor with your first finger. If you think about the placement of your first finger while you're shifting up in positions, it helps with the accuracy of higher notes. I always think in intervals. Let me know if that helps! :)
