  • Welcome to Part II. This has been a crazy amount of work. I have had lots of questions from part 1 and here are a few answered;
    The Salvage Yard is called DD Auto Salvage and we are located in Logan UT
    Our eBay account is www.ebay.com/u...
    We will be getting a lot of things listed shortly, but give us a little time to unload and organize.
    Most of the cars will be sold as projects, but we have to wait for all of the paperwork to be completed.
    Thanks for watching!

    Anyone who baggs this doesn't appreciate what there looking at. The last custodian did a great job of preserving this collection of everything. Shame he didn't have that extra lifetime to see it all through. But on it goes to many that will appreciate it all in one form or another. 🤙👍

    Don't bow to the haters. I love classic ratty cars as much as any other special cars. i'm thnking of stiping the interior out of mine to make like a nascar or strip racer feel. there is something special about no sound deadening and loud pipes that makes the car feel more alive.

      In fixing up my 68 R/T, I've spent more on the interior & gages than I initially gave for it in 1985 . Remember,A dollar was Worth More then & Especially for a kid too young to legally hire for anything but farm work & mowing lawns. Took every penny I had,but got him to bring the price down for me, mostly coz he Knew it would be in skilled hands as my Dad was a mechanic & taught me Everything I needed to know. Grand Total ? $1,100

    I myself for the most part maybe a big GM fan especially with the gm gbody cars,64 Chevy Impala, Bel-Air, Biscayne and 65 Pontiac GTO, tempest and lemans, and the gm square body trucks and gmt 400 trucks and especially third gen Camaro and firebird.. but I would love to eventually acquire a 75-77 dodge charger se, really want a 76-77 Dodge charger se Daytona in either dark blue and silver or black and silver and red, but more than likely it will end up being a 78-79 Chrysler Cordoba so hopefully a 400 big block car with manual doors and sport steering wheel, and I love the 75-79 dodge ram club cab longbed trucks especially the 3/4 ton trucks.

  • @kiethholland3650
    @kiethholland3650 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    That Mr Norms car would be fun to restore, problem is you would want way too much for it and even if you could do most of it yourself it would still cost more to restore than it's worth or you can buy one for. Shame but that's part for the course when you do mopars. People always think they are worth a fortune done but don't realize how much it costs to get it there.

    • @ShadeTreeVintageAuto
      @ShadeTreeVintageAuto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A big part of the problem is that people think it’s still 1990 and can’t accept that the cars are worth more than they were then. Also, the parts are valuable by themselves, and there’s no reason as a business for me to sell the cars for less than I can part them out for. No, I will not be giving these cars away. Yes, I am doing it to at least break even. Do you think it was cheap to buy all of this? Do you think it was cheap to transport everything 2300 miles? I will tell you the transportation alone was over $40k. And I will get what I want for the cars and parts. Probably not from you, but from someone that realizes the actual, current value of the cars.

      @@ShadeTreeVintageAuto Just remember, the general population has no idea what goes on deep in the hobby. Your obvious experiences with Worman sound EXACTLY like mine over here in Indy with Ken Mosier of 'Finer Details'. There are always the arrogant jerks in everything you experience. But there are WAY more good people in the hobby like Javier Mendoza and Chris Birdsong. It's tough to throttle between the perceived value of the cars over time,,, and treating people decently. Especially when the world is as batshit crazy as it has become.
      I only just discovered your vlogs, and I wasn't sure if you were a Mopar loyalist or just dipping into the genre because you saw money opportunity. Time bears all truths out. Kinda like Ken Mosier FINALLY getting what he deserves after screwing so many newcomers to the hobby the way he did me in 1990. Loved reading about him in the Indy Star. Felt like there really is Karma. After he backstabbed me and Paul Wilson so much, he finally got sued by people with money. Damn. Sweet.

    I'm going to say the trap door air cleaner came on a 73 440 B body and someone simply swapped on their 340 lid.
    I have one of each of those cars 100 percent original and the 440 Charger Rallye has the trap door and the 340 cuda has single snorkel. Both California cars, so I can't say for certain 49 state 340's didn't have them either, but the factory brochures suggest this, too.

      @@ShadeTreeVintageAuto yeah every state is different on how hard it is to title, especially if you have no paperwork. New York does make it shockingly easy to get a registration on a car without any, but in New Jersey they treat you like you're a criminal who stole the thing.

    so the 'unique' piece, the air cleaner, wonder what you will ask for it, anything past 71 is a smog engine, virtually worthless, hopefully not asking too much.
