I love your way of interviewing all your guests, Amrit. The way you speak with each and every one of your guests it is so welcoming, non invasive, with no aggression, so different from other podcasters . Keep up the good work, I appreciate you bringing in such interesting and inspiring people who are helping so much the humanity.
Hallelujah!! I suffer from love constipation syndrome, universal discomfort methinks, and ask every day "please keep showing the way." And this profound and beautiful reality brings another friend. Same as it ever was ❤ 🙏
0:03 It's not that "they/we" have forgotten what "we" are. It's that unrefined light gains sight through having cyclically lived enough times. Life is like a dryer filled with varying sizes and types of marbles banging into one another over and over again, slowly sculpting finished products. 4:48 Yes! When you can see the broader perspective free of biased and/or indoctrinated distortions, you will understand that though every character or awareness is unique, "they" also share the same origin since "god" is nothing more than a fertilized egg.
The idea of life as just a game that we shouldn't take too seriously is kind of a bombshell. A spiritual background that tells us that we need to be good enough to get to heaven and avoid hell tells us that our individual lives are very important indeed, definitely no game. I rejected most of what I learned from organized religion decades ago, but the idea that there was a specific, important purpose for my own life never left me. The problem has been that I could never figure out what it was, and that has caused no end of anguish, believing that I wasn't living up to my part of "the bargain," whatever that was. Makes me a bit angry, honestly, to think that none of that was ever true. But I'm coming to believe that I can relax about that, that I'm safe just being me without trying to prove myself worthy somehow to some entity who will judge my life at the end. It's hard to let go of that idea, but how much more relaxed life would be if I can put that ingrained belief behind me.
Two key elements I took from this enlightening discussion: The "Trigger Word" (it's a brilliant tool and, at least for now, I will use "ah") and the idea that without compassion you don't have a religion (I couldn't agree more and I think it's most evident in these hypocritical and turbulent times.)
Sir I love your podcasts and I am a subscriber. But I have a small feedback. When you modulate and talk softly, we miss out on a lot of detail with that... Ex: 29:55... Please do help us understand the fillers completely, too. Thanks a ton :)
These things "attachments" are not going to last. That's right so enjoy them while they are here. You never know when they will go. Sometimes the very things you're praying for have been right in front of you the whole time.
