I am doing some work where I need to use the radio. I had drained my battery, then after recharging it I needed the Ford radio code (lost!). This video let me get to the radio serial number so I could get the codes using an app from Google. Very well made and absolutely valuable. Thank you.

Brilliant help to me after needing to access the rear of the stereo/satnav system to get to the unit serial number (to be able to get the PIN code from the internet) after I had replaced the car battery. Showed exactly what trims to remove and in what order, what tools needed, what screws to loosen and even with having to purchase the stereo removal keys and the PIN code (cost me a total of £7 and around 45 minutes of my time) the other option was to take to Ford dealership with a quote given of £84. I just bought a 2012 mondeo, the previous own doesn't have the pin for the nav/stereo system so im unable to connect bluetooth or access any settings its greyed out. is there anyway to reset the whole thing? or could this be another problem, i think i recall seeing somewhere that if its not earthed properly it can block you out?

I'd like to change the car-stereo with a new Android-based one 2DIN but here it seems that the cover including the clima can't be separated..... any suggestion
You need to retrofit the other type of radio/climate control where they are separated, then you can change only the screen for an aftermarket installation. That’s what I’m planning to do anyway.
Hi, great video , I have a 2014 business edition with the same screen/ unit but no reverse camera , , , do you know if there's a port/socket in the back of that unit for a camera by any chance ? Cheers

Hold buttons 1 and 6 at the same time and it will give you serial no.
Then Google fordcodes.com and you can get your code for free.

There is any frame for mondeo mk4, to fit radio from focus 2007 ? I bought for it very good and not cheap sat nav radio and would be great to take it to new car.
thanks for uploading video I have a question, I understand that the climate control features are interconnected to that specific stereo system. can it be removed and still have climate control functionality, if so is there a recommended stereo that would be a good replacement

@@lexosney6432 I have the handbook to my car but I cannot find it, are the codes all the same?
@@roberttuohy3597 no the codes are all different. You may be able to get a tool to remove the radio to get the serial number or it may be easier to get the garage to do it.

This is not a standard mk4 dashboard. You can find android radios designed especially for the Ford.
Can't figure out how to release the gets knob. Video doesn't show this step clearly and slowly. Gave up after an hour.
